was reading the link about being short on posting stuff and thought an avatar change up from my truck to one of my cars was a good change and it might start something. 69 coronet with a year correct motor. it was a black plate 318 car i brought up from california about 15 plus years ago. it is now a year correct hemi car with all perinate hemi up-grades, ie: suspension, dana 60 rear and a tremec 5 speed. in all honesty i wouldn't do the tremec again.
yeah, i got lucky getting that car, i had bought the hemi motor in new brunswick about 4-5 years before i got it.
i brought home a couple of different roller cars to put it in, 69 road runner from kentucky and a 68 satellite from ohio, but when i got them home up on the hoist i decided to wait for something in better shape. a buddy of mine lives in las angeles and found it for me at the pomona swap meet. when i was down to pick it up i also brought a 69 super bee up with it. the bee had been sitting out in the desert for years and the interior was long rotted away but the metal was all very good, there was no motor or trans in it with some damage to the right front end. sold it when i got back and more than covered the costs to bring them both home. in hindsight i probably should of put the hemi in the bee but the coronet was in near mint condition and other than the badging they were the same car.
