Yep... Just as I suspected. If you want to get it towed without problems... Use a GM

I don't know guys, my 2000 dually f-350 has been all over Canada and the states several times since new bringing back cars and I would still jump into it today and go anywhere and not have a doubt about it, 7.3 power stroke with 290k and still running strong. Where as my 17 escalade with a 104k is sitting at the tranny shop as i type for a new trans and thankful I bought an extended warranty. When i read what 30-S6 said about using a g-m to tow it with the first thing that came to mind is, if the tranny don't come out of it on the way home. lol There is a huge class action law suit on them.

When you guys can put the miles on those Chevys that I parked my 2004 Ford FX4 with, then I'll listen...
653,000 was a pretty good number for a truck everyone told me not to buy with 223,000 km...

thats a good number for a gas engine Chris. back in the day when the 7.3's came out i had half a dozen of them in f 550's and 650's over some years and i was getting 6 to 750k's on them with one complete injector change at about 400k. the bodies would fall apart before the motors were done.

Wow, 653,000 is a lot of roadwork. My oldest son has a Sierra - 5.3 with a delete to prevent it dropping to 4 cyl. So far, no troubles at 410,000.
