Making the fingers took a while. My brother-in-law was throwing out some old stair railing so it was fun putting it to use. Still have to touch up and polish it a bit but I think I'll ghet a lot of use out of it. Yiup, sloppy welds but this helped me practice.
Making the knuckles took a while but otherwise it was easy. I just laid my hand on a sheet of cardboard and drew an outline for size. Then roughed in about where the bones and joints were. 3/8 round rod would work but I used some old square stair railing that was under the bench. I'll find the video amd post it for you and lend a hand (no pun intended) if you like. It was fun to make but shaping each knuckle was a bit tedious.

Make one holding a billiard ball and you'll have a shifter. Might have to use some lighter weight material, but it would sure would have the cool look!!
Actually, now that I've made one, wrapping the knuckles around a billiard ball would make the angles a bit easier to set when welding too so thank you for that Sniper. That's a neat idea but I already have a cutting torch for a shifter. But maybe if I end up with another build someday ... ?
