It might be a Fulton sun shade, I don't know but I finally got it mounted after making the side and center brackets and buying the small center clips. After all the work of restoring and mounting it, not sure I like it but I'll leave it for a while and see if it suits the truck.

A bit off topic but by changing the wheels that truck would look like a different truck all together....maybe a fresh coat of glossy cream paint and tire shine will do?
Again just my opinion.

I guess it comes out in the photo like white but the sun was really bright. I colour matched it with the cream actually. Not sure if I can photo shop on a MAC. ( I don't like my MAC & wish I hadn't switched to a MAC ) Great idea though. I thought cream would help tie the top of the truck in and frame it. There was just so much red initially. Thank you guys.
Ultimately it's your truck . just because others like it a certain way or colour really doesn't matter. If you do everything the way others tell you then it becomes someone else's vision not yours.
That being said colour matching the visor to the truck would be the way I would have done it. Leaving the center silver matches the mirrors and other trim.(if not? Red) As far as tires and wheels go? They will make or break the look . Finding the right combination will really set this truck off to be a real head turner..... Or head shaker.

I have 5 rims from the period but only had rubber put on one for a spare so far.
Some day when I can afford it, I will buy rubber for the other rims. White walls ? I don't know. I want white walls for the rod first (someday).
Sinking too much cash into the truck lately while the rod is screaming, "MORE PARTS !"
Colour matching the trim was much easier and a lot less expensive than the red and I still like the cream trim (at this point).
I remember getting a lot more sleep before this hobby.

Thank you Iwannagofast. I am doing what I like with the truck within the confines of my finances but a lot of stuff I still don't comprehend like the tires and rims that can make or break the "look". If a ride has whitewalls, I see the difference but otherwise, I don't yet see much difference. Maybe I will understand in time but not yet. My friend Bill says the same thing but he has yet to clarify why these rims and tires don't fit the 'look'.
In my defence, I did buy rims from the period and when I can, I'll get the rubber. Is it because the truck sits too high on the current rims ?

Jim, it's your truck bud and it is a nice one. If you remember when you were at the farm to pick up some scrape metal to practice welding on I told you I wouldn't put in the box because it was too nice to put stuff in it that could scratch it up. Buddy your the only one that has to be happy with the look. Rick
You went to a lot of trouble to get those rims and the truck is period enough that you should run them. If you can find the right size, put a set of these on. If your handling is good now, they will make it fantastic. dbtires.com/product/auburn-deluxe-radial-15-16-sizes/

So what distinguishes an old tire is the pie crust edge, the whitewall, the tread pattern and the shoulder ? I don't know what the square shoulder means.
Will I get them for the truck ? Eventually. But I want them for the rod.
Writing the info in my build book so I don't lose it. I'll get them someday. Thank you WUGA.
