 We all have heard the old saying, that if you learned something new today it was a good day. I guess I had a good day as I learned something new but it is turning into a pain in the ass trying to find one.  lol  I stopped into the shop in Peterboro where they are certifying a 2005 p/t for me to see how it was coming along and he brought up that it needed a clock spring to be finished. ???  First thing that came to my mind is who cares if the clock works or not, was I way off.  lol   The guy is a straight shooter and old family friend so I had to ask, what is it and what does it do and that's where I learned something new today.  lol  It's an electrical part that goes in the top of the steering column somewhere.  

 The part has been discontinued from mopar and he is having a hard time finding one. I did a brief search for one and he was right, couldn't find one either.  Lots of 2006 and up, nothing else.   

  The reason for this post is I am hoping someone on here might know some sort of fix for the problem, maybe.

I think my clock spring broke years ago ,lol, sorry about that Hey Shag,if you are dead set on a PT ,I have one in Trenton,It is a 2001 it is from South Carolina,it is totally rust free,n will need 4 tires for a safety,I mean ZREO rust,it does have a mower rebuilt trans in it,has 195,000 miles on it,but runs excellent.it is in storage until April when I get back,if you are interested by then give me a holler,it was my wife's daily driver,but she bought a 2008 down here that we are bringing home in April, I have searched down here,and your right,there is nothing around,even Dorman doesn't have it listed,I have a call into a place in Texas called Clockspring,to see if they have anything.
