Excuse the mess, I really know where everything is.
Just finishing up an engine run stand
This is the blown aluminum engine that had locked up some years back. Decided to find the problem, pulled the heads and it spun freely, wanted to replace the head gaskets anyway
The blower is on the bench. Had the impellers in and out maybe 8 times, but it kept locking up at about 1/4 turn each time. Everything seemed normal when apart. Finally felt a small indiscernible dimple on the casing wall. When the adaptor was bolted on, the bolt caused the dimple. A little cleanup and everything spins freely.
I am taking this car to Deuce Days and wanted the blower engine in it as it was originally built.
I had the head off the Bantam after I blew the head gasket on the inline 261 last summer. It is all back together but needs to be set up properly. It will be in a car show in March in New York state. The banger is biding it's time waiting for summer.
Wheel tubs now. Got to find a small power steering leak. Not sure if I'll have time to try my hand at painting. Trying to finish off a bed for my son and daughter in law. And I can't find a way to post a picture
Working away on my 63 - bodywork ready for paint - fresh motor and trans, brakes etc, and a/c Basically a frame off build at this point as it took on a life of its own
