Hey everyone, I have been seeing a lot of news of late in regards to the addition of even MORE ethenol into our gasoline. As I understand, it will be put in starting May 1st, 2026. I have already seen it at Costco in Orillia at 15%. We all know that this is a serious problem for engines pre 2001. This is going to make the situation even worse. I am not a chemist, nor do I possess any paper qualifications in that area. What my main objective here is to ask anyone if they know of any measures to counteract the negative effects that this will produce. They say it is only a "TEMPORARY " measure. Yeah right, does anyone remember the introduction of income tax? Is there any PROVEN products that work, or are coming down the pipeline? Are there any gas stations left at all in Canada that don't have any ethenol? I do know that Buckies in the states has a few pumps that do not have ethenol, but I live in Ontario Canada. Again, can we all put our heads together and post some good ideas as to how we can move forward on this looming situation? Many thanks to all opinions, facts, and sensible ideas. Hope all is going well with everyone and their rides.
Most stations now have 15% ethanol. Premium typically is now 10%.
It's not temporary. I been hauling it for over a year now.
I can say for sure that most if not all Petro Canada and Pioneer stations are like this.
