Bring a car from USA

I have a line on a car that I'm interested in. But it's a project, all in pieces. Wondering what's involved in bringing it to ontario. Does the border look at it as a car or car parts? What fees would I have to pay. Looking at having it shipped. Any idea on what that involves?

I'm not certain of all the details Marten but one thing I could suggest is arranging a Broker to help with the paperwork. They could probably smooth the entry and also answer most of those questions in advance - aside from the experience of a couple fellows here who are also in the know. Good luck, whats the make/model/year? Just curious.

The border people want 72 hours notice. You have to send paper work.

I have a line on a 1954 Ford sedan delivery.  Metal work is done, ready for primer.  Comes with most everything to put it back together.  He is willing to take $2500 USD with no motor or tranny.  Was asking $3500 USD with a HO302 and tranny.  Problem is, its in Denver CO.  I put up a listing on uship but not a bit on pricing for delivery.  It is a 25 hour drive one way.  I don't know what is involved to get it back to me.  I know you need a customs broker to bring it across the border if its a car.  Not sure how it works if there is no motor or tranny.
