My name is Nick. First I'd like to thanks Poncho for the invite.
A little about myself...I've been into hot rods and custom cars since I was a kid. For over 10 years, I've been learning the art of metal shaping starting out with a set of about 9 hammers, some dollies, and a 3/4" rubber mat and things have kinda evolved from there.
I'd like to extend my hand in appreciation to all the members who have the same passion for cool cars and enjoy taking the time to share their knowledge and experiences.
My ride is no hot rod...but it's what got me into the custom car/resto mod scene. Taking 8 years built entirely from scratch, by hand, from steel. It's got a mid-engine Chevy 350 mated to a Caddy TH-325-4L trans. We wanted to the vehicle to appear as though it was a factory produced supercar in the 60's borrowing styling cues from the SR-71 Blackbird recon plane and classic European sports cars as well as 60's American muscle cars.

Trying to catch up on all the great topics on the forum. Very exciting!
Started ... actually well into... building our second mid engine sports car. If you guys are interested in seeing a pile of metal shaping, chassis fabrication, interior work, and so on...I can start a new thread. Will be a few years before this one rolls out of the shop.

Chris, Thanks very much for the thumbs up, but I must say that you're too kind... Over the past few evenings I've been catching up on others' posts. There is a hell of a lot of talent out there and I'm really enjoying the shared knowledge and projects. Would be great to pull up a stool and sit in on the builds :D
Will try to start a tread or two on the 'point A to B appliance' projects I'm working on soon. Probably be two...
