Good looking dog.....Kid at work has a bulldog....Says mine is a little faggot dog.....lol That's OK...I don't mind the little dog, cus it makes momma happy....and you know the old saying...."If momma ain't happy, nobody's happy"
The wife has allergies, no cats or dogs allowed. That didn't stop me from keeping the Hamster I found in the garage. Named him Jack Stand. Not kidding, I was out in the garage one day (years ago) and here comes this slightly greasy little hamster in to check out my progress. Dropped by for a visit, stayed for a lifetime.

I hear ya on that...I always had German Shepards etc....and they were always free....Co workers asked me how much she cost? I told them not much, just about $200 a pound.....lol
I got him at retirement.. he sleeps 20 hours a day, and is always beside me....

The cats are maggie and Wincy Wincy had a seizure this week on the counter... I reached, to keep him from falling.... He must have thought I was causing the pain, as he locked on my finger, and I automatically pulled back, and he tore a section, of my finger, off.... any of you guys have and "man" dogs? my pitty was a sweet heart 80 pounds in his prime solid muscle
my american bulldog named maximus and very suiting dog was kinda like a wrecking ball not much stopped him if he was movin he was infatuated with my wife and if you messed with her you were a goner he was 125 pounds
sadly they have both left us and i have not had the hear t ot replace them
No, never did find out where he came from. I live in a subdivision so we asked the neighbours, no one had lost a hamster. Kind of surprised a cat or some kind of bird didn't get him first.
My boys, Smokey is a Shepard Husky and Buster is, who knows. My wife worked at the Humane Society and always fostered new born kittens but would not take them back. We ended up with 6 before I made her stop.
strange how pet can get along when there raise together.....................my wife used to have a large dog a cat and a hamster ...........you would think the cat would run after the hamster ? no all together and nothing happen

Flatduck, it is strange how animals get along when raised together. My shepard has always coward from our oldest cat which only has three legs and is now 14 years old. My other dog Buster and our other male cat fight over rawhides. We had a chinchilla which got along fine with the cats and played with the shepard all the time. But when we put the dogs out they will chase everything that moves including the skunk the shepard caught back in September. Took a few months to get rid of the smell.

Since we have the Nickname thread and the Face with a Name thread, just thought I would relive the Pets thread. My wifes Molly is now 2 years old and spoiled rotten
Same pic as "Face with a Name" thread. My two monsters, sorry I can't post a pic of my wife, she always has the camera. Besides, she might get p'd.
Long story behind the dog, he was abused...I usually have Chows, Roth's, Dob's or Sheppards, I always associated small breed dogs as "Yappy"...not the case here.
Since the last update. Mack passed away last spring at 14 years of age. Ziggy is getting greyer and the new addition is Sandy. i wasn't going to get another dog so soon but Ziggy wasn't eating and was lonely. Sandy is a Kijiji acquisition. previous owners were downsizing from a couple acres to a small town apt. she is a tree walker hound cross german shepherd mix. so far this year she has killed 3 rabbits in the back yard and i don't have a problem with moles anymore. also if i jingle my keys i got a car jockey with me. so keep your eyes out for a hound hanging out the sliding window on the 55.
That's still the plan Bruce. The poodle is just visiting. I still need to get the MH out of storage. I was down on Saturday and the ground is still too soft to get it out.

here ya go-you guys with ur little pets, lol meet jose. he is about 16-17yrs with another approx 16-17 to go. i had to put down his soul mate from birth, his cousin roxy, as she was 33-34yrs and failing. his new squeeze, abigail, is about the same age. needless to say they are both in my will for further care if need be. when my wife passed she had 6 of them and i kept 2.
probably should get some better pics of the pair of them. lol
My wife brought a dog into the relationship and I love her to bits great dog . She is well behaved and very loyal. It is a lab/shepherd mix. Our other dog about a year and a half ago we found on our lawn left four dead. This poor little guy didn't even weigh 9 pounds, he was full of fleas, full of worms, hair like dreadlocks, going blind, going deaf with bloody rotten teeth the vet figures he was homeless at least six months and they figure he is roughly between 10 and 15 years old. I just had brain surgery and got home so I was unable to drive. I had some friends take him to animal care and control. He stayed there a week so they could find the original owner. I checked Kijiji also Petfinder the local newspaper and any trees in our neighborhood to see if there was a dog missing and nothing not even for a small white dog let alone the actual breed. I called animal care and control and I inquired about him and they said most likely he will be put down because nobody wants the sick old dog so I went and picked him up My family did not get rid of me because I'm sick so why should I give up on him he has numerous health problems like me but we gave him what little life he has left a good one. We had no intentions of adopting another dog let alone rescuing a dog.
He is truly a member of our family and I could not imagine life without him
if you're looking to get a dog my suggestion is to go to the Humane Society or animal care and control and ask for a dog that is been there the longest and adopt that one.
