New guy here... new to the rod world as well, was always a bike guy, handful of Electra glides and a home built chopper...Always loved old trucks, and pretty much anything lowered so purchased a '53 Chevy 3 window pickup form Los Angeles months ago...truck was complete and rust free however needed some serious upgrades in the front susp and steering... just got plates today and should be on the road next week. Had a long time friend Dave Green at Simons auto parts in Alymer install Mustang II front clip and new Ididit steering column and Vintage air unit... truck is flat black primer, bagged... Only have old black steelies and rubber on now but wheels will be powdercoated and new WWWs coming asap... should be low and loud ! New bed and interior will be done by me this fall and winter... will upload pics when i get them...cheers
cool truck and welcome from the far east of Ontario. Thanks for making you 2nd post just a little smaller. I know the old guys will thank you for the first one though.

truck will be driven in canada for the first time this week! was shipped from Cali to buffalo then loaded on a trailer to here...tear down began right away... its bagged all around with 2'' drop spindles on the front... i have a set of rough steelies with 215 60 15 all around ... if they dont scrape id like to go with a taller WWW... keeping the steelies though. likely shiny black. should be a cool week for this slug! will be looking for new tires right away but not sure who sells them around here ( woodstock area ) any ideas?
Thanks Sas... that place is real close... i may try there. i really havent researched www around here yet, been focusing on all other aspects of the rebuild...www are a must in the next few weeks though... btw its an older SBC 350, auto, tall lokar... 9 inch ford rear so we went with ford hubs up front to keep them all the same... This is a cool site, new to bloggin' but try to creep around here daily LOL. All the pics ive posted are ones the previous owner sent me prior to sale... will upload current asap, thanks

Welcome to the neighbourhood...literally...from Brant County. Ya, the Waterford Pumpkinfest in October. Not sure of the date but its a good blast to end the year.
Looking forward to seeing this truck locally. I'm just up the road from Waterford. Get on out to BenMar in Paris on Saturday nights before they end. Short shake-down run from Woodstock.
