Hi,  i have 2 suburbans, both are Alta trucks.  one 1989 im restoring, 1993 is used for work.

 

 

I'm thinking of replacing both transmission and motor. (89)

 

transmission (700r4) has issues, was rebuilt and has issues again.

Motor was a crate motor, whoever rebuilt it is a fool, to the point that

several valves were different than the rest.

 

Also have a couple wiring problems that need to be addressed.

 

 

SO... i am looking for both.   and if you know someone who is GOOD.......  talk to me!!

Welcome. Ceaser and Mark at Mississauga Engines or Beatty and Woods are good for the motor. I would suggest the 4l80e instead of the 700r4 but I can't suggest a transmission shop.

No idea regarding Mississauga Engines but I do know that Beatty and Woods have been around for ever. They gotta be doing something right.
