Hey guys, Stroker sent me some PM's refering me here, so I thought I'd sign up and say hello to you ladies and gentlemen.

I've had my current car for about a year now, and she's called "Deathtrap"

It's a 1964 falcon 2 door sedan.

The car got the name deathtrap because when I got it, the gent that sold it to me had told me that he drove it everywhere. Driving it myself made me realize that the entire car wanted nothing more then to kill the driver by any means nessacary. The front wheel cylinders were siezed almost solid, the rears were leaking and covered in diff fluid, and the master cylinder faded to the floor. The body was full of holes in unfourtunate places, and if you shift past low gear on the poorly installed lokar shifter, you may find yourself in reverse.

In short, it was perfect.

Of course, I couldn't exactly bumble about town like this, so most of the problems have now been fixed, but in the back of my head, I still know how much that old ford likes to scare the dickens out of me.

 

As for myself, I'm turnin' 20 next year and am a registered automotive service apprentice. (And no-one wants to hire those, apperently hmm) I'm no hooligan who'll drive this old iron into something, and frankly, everything that's 70's and older are works of art in my opinion.

Wow    do you know how scarce they are now!!   

 

 

 Have you seen the 7   1965's that were built in Canada only..... with 289-271's?

Dont know how rare they are, but this 65 is a 289/271....Was raced from new for a few years, A friend owns it now and had it restored

1 of 7    never built in US    The henry the 8 car is sitting rotting in Cape Breton   2nd owner just finished a clone     Wild Child was one  as well

Welcome and great ride - I've always liked these mid 60's Falcons. They resemble baby Thunderbolts in race trim.

Harry -- Is this car from the Mount Forest area?  I seem to rebember a car like this being for sale over there.  Has it been sold?

 Yep...Nick Brouwer owns it...I know he had it for sale, not sure if he sold it.....The car was bought by a local teacher in Georgetown in 65, raced it for about 10 years, then it was sold and was a nice street car for years. Nick bought it about 10 years ago and put it back in its original condition.

Thanks for the kind words gents, cool gassers too. I might actually gasser the falcon once I'm done with the straight six. We'll have to see.

Welcome Russ. Anyone who knows me knows I love these cars. I like the Caddy tail-light treatment. I have a spare set of buckets/lens that I was thinking of doing that way for our '63 Falcon. I think I saw blue-dot Caddy lens's on Summit. Have fun with your build, it looks good so far.

Man, blue dots would look great. I'm unsure of the legality of such a thing though. The HAMB had a discussion about it and I think it comes down to the cop ya get and the province you're in. (Almost seems worth it though evileye )

Blue dots on 59 Cad lenses kind of kill the look to me the lens needs to end in the point. With out the point they are (wait for it) POINTLESS. Sorry I did that.

Hey! I know that car!

Tighten up the big bolt on the shifter pivot and you'll see a night and day difference in that shifter.
