Insane San Paulo last I checked 17 million jammed in a city the size of Toronto. Can you imagine driving down the 401 traffic stops and 100 people jump onto the road and try selling socks and all sorts of garbage up and down the lanes. I'm sure splitting lanes at 40 k/h is normal. The fart can exhaust and the horn beeping might get you shot thou
i can relate to that. about 18-20 yrs ago, where'd that go, a buddy of mine who is in the entertainment industry took their show to san uan, porto rico for 2 months during the winter. they barged their stuff, 5-6 tractor trailers over from tampa and he took his 2 harleys. one a decker and the other a fat boy. my passed wife and i flew down for a 2 week holiday with him and his wife. there is some freeway stuff down there but not much and the rest is city driving. it is a freak show on the roads there. but, about the only people on harleys were the #1 police detchment downtown. all the other police bikes were virago's by the hundreds. when the people heard harleys coming they actually moved over thinking it was the police out of #1 detachment.
- side note, they have a rain forest down there up in their mountians, big hills here, and it is a bit of a freeway to get there. the wifes and a couple of other girls from the show planned a trip to see it. bud and i said we would meet them there on the bikes. needless to say we never made it. the higher and closer we got it was raining too hard. lol
-wife and i take a tour downtown to the harbour where the cruise ships come in 2-3 at a time. a lot of people from all over the world. i spot a harley sign on the promenade along the harbour and make our way there on the decker. it was a store front selling harley souvenirs to the tourists and it had a line up. we park right in front of the joint get some shirts with port rico on them and go back out side to a large mostly asian crowd around the bike taking pic's like crazy.
--a couple of years later he did venezula and i wouldn't do that again unless i was in some fancy tourist location. it wasn't fun.
anyway hemi thanks for the video. brought back some great memories of my passed wife. thanks
I just watched the video and noticed something. If you look closely, it seems all of the vehicles are leaving a lot of room between the lanes. I know that it is legal for motorcycles to ride between cars when cars are stopped at a red light in San Fransico. Seems the law was made years ago when all motorcycles were air cooled. I'd be willing to bet the same type of law applies in this country too, leaving space between lanes so motorcycles can pass. I don't think they anticipated the speed at which this dude is passing though :)
