I am amazed ,wonder how long it took to make the doll

every piece hand crafted with hand powered tools

Amazing technology from that far back. Remember people walked and rode animals then, and the technical knowlge then was pretty primitive.
Talented people back then who built incredible buildings that still stand today utilizing basic math.

I guess what we forget is this was probably a hobby for a very skilled man.We or should I say I am always amazed at the amount of time these craftsman devoted to there hobbies.Doll houses,carvings of bears and all manor of things,metal workers and other skilled people crafting things for gifts or for sale or just to do it.What I forget and this by no means takes away from there skills, is this is probably all they had to do when they got off work.There was no TV,no internet,I don't think there would have been radio when this doll was crafted,there probably wasn't even electrisity so short of going to bed very early in the evening I think this type of thing was a combination of a hobby and entertainment. Ed
