Hey Dave that is a beute and it got me wondering if there is any kind of Halloween(dressup, door to door handouts, etc) deal in Scotland or is it a NorthAmerican thing .Also wondering about a harvest celibration(Thanksgiving here) ,what is the tradition in Scotland. Here its a large gathering and more food than you should eat,A nap on the chesterfield when the turkey tripolin (or whatever its called) kicks in and start again when you wake up. Hey Glenn, it's one of my straps, you're is safe in the truck, next to your chain

We do have Halloween in Scotland, with the little beggars coming to the door, but we make them work for their candy by singing or telling a joke.

We don't have thanksgiving in the UK. But we do have turkey at Christmas, so what do you eat at christmas then?

Looking forward to our first thanksgiving with new friends we have made

My son lives in North Carolina and they have pumpkin throwing contests. They use air powered cannons and catapults to see how far they can shoot them.
They also have a decent pumpkin/mincemeat pie.

Then there's the story about what do Southerners do on Hallowe'en?
"They pump kin"
