I was talking to some 1 who works fisheries on lake erie ( out of dunnville )

Theyve found a few dead 1s on shore  , fewbeen caught in boat nets,,,,,this is very bad all around....

When i was a kid i caught piles of those stinkin carp, in S. Ont., one of the most disgusting fish around in my opinion , bottom feeders stirring up silt , that ends up covering and smothering other species spawn.
I remember there was a tank truck that used to come over from Detroit each summer and net them, dumped them into the truck tank and hauled them back there live. That truck reeked!!
Agreed, BAD NEWS for sure!!

i dont know if they can survive our winters , they reproduce by the 1000s , worse possible that could happen to our great lakes people..these arenot regular carp

These are not the typical S. Ontario carp that swim the Humber River. The Asian carp are a much more destructfull speices, much like the zebra muscles that invaded our waters a few decades ago.

They also like to fly out of the water quite high . Catch a 20 pounder in the head at 50mph and its game over

Slim.....that reminds me of when i was much younger.....

Driving in a convertable with the top down and a "well endowed honey".......she stood up while i was driving and KAPOW!

....it caught me upside the head..

Lights out!......nothing worst than a "Bust in the Mouth" at 50 mph....

Yeah....I know what its like to catch a 20 pounder in the side of the head at 50mph

I'm pretty sure the carp that have been around here for years were also introduced at one time.
A Carp is a Carp, have no use for these freshwater intruders that screw up good fishing areas.

Sadly it was only a matter of time. Several "Low Protein" communities in the U.S. are finding ways to cook them but they need to find a viable market for these fish. Ironicly one market they have found is...China

Just googled Carp and it appears the largest carp caught in Manitoba was 42 1/2 inches long, and weighed 60 lbs!
(And they were introduced here in America back around 1886. Since 1954 they have become a nuisance fish for commercial fisherman.)

(Probably introduced by the same moron that brought starlings over here!)
