You'll need a compass, most Iphones have one, a protractor would also come in handy for the angle.
Check Bell's pdf files pages 44, and 50. Page 44 is how to, and page 50 is where the satelites are in your area
http://support.bell.ca/_web/guides/TV/UserGuide/Receiver/9200/9200_ins%28en%29.pdf
Hope this helps.

First thing to do is to get the dish mounted to the fence, at least secure it so it does not move. Then set the azimuth and then the angle. I put a level on the face and use a protractor to get it close, then move it left to right. If you get the wrong satellite it will tell you what # it is, then move it left or right to get the correct(91 and 82 Bell), and up and down a degree at a time to get the best signal. I then use the protractor below the arm that has the LNB after I get set up and write that down for future use. I do this every where I go.

With another person helping you,one outside/one inside- move the dish around. When we had sat tv,under set up,there was an "audible tone"that helped you narrow in on your satalite. It doesn't take much movement to lose your signal.

Make sure you use the compass on the iphone away from any metal, throws it way off! Ask me how I know. Lol! (memories of Bristol)
I find it much easier to bring the receiver out near the dish and a small TV. My dish is a Shaw and mounted on the eave of the garage at the house, so I lay the TV at the bottom of the ladder where I can see as I adjust. Look up the co-ordinates on the WWW and use the scale on the dish mount to get it close, then do your fine adjustments from there. I've got one dish on the house and two more on two different buildings out back(too far from house to use one dish) - all were set up from a ladder looking down on the receiver's diagnostic screen all by my self, with no helpers and solo to boot!

*If that's your set up pictured, it should be much easier to adjust than standing on a ladder or a sloping roof!

Yep, if you can look past hubby......that's my setup! The genius from Bell decided that the tripod mount method was the best solutionhmmno.

Its great when the snow plow has gone by and plows it down the road. lmao

My interaction with them has to be kept to absolute minimum!! for everyone's safety. Sadly, they are the only game in town for us. Its bell tv or nothing.

You should have seen our set up at Bristol! It involved a large block of wood, some 3" wood screws and the heavy hitch and sway bar attachment from the camper trailer to hold it all down.....which gets me thinking.... If we can take our dish off the house in Onterrible, and take it down to Tennesee, and watch TV for a week, then why can't you get it up there? It's satellite - no wires to run. Billing can be done automatically or through the WWW. I don't see why Bell (urrgh) is the only game in town. I like Shaw(Starchoice), no hassles in the last 14 years, and I run 5 receivers off three dishes.

I would seriously think about elevating that sucker on a permanent 8x8 post!

I know the plow operator 427, Ivan knows where the dish is now so he's pretty good about it. when it happened the last time, I called bell to come find it and reinstall again. They said that was the only place they could put it so whatever! It doesn't cost me anything when they have to come service it for that reason. And it is pretty funny to watch then dig it out.
Of course, with no TV.....its all we have to watch

They likely just don't have the range on the service trucks to go that far, but you've just proven that you can set up a dish with no stinking service guy. And you've already got RG6 cable right there, pre-routed into the house! If they still won't allow you to open an account, you may have to buddy up with someone in their support area and split the account costs. PM me for further explanation.

My Dad has had it with Rogers too and wants to go back to Shaw/Starchoice.

Also want to add that Bell does not work south of about 100 miles(still works at Syracuse) and Shaw is getting a new sat on line that will have the same constrictions.

Janice,

You need to get yourself a J-Mount and put that dish on a 6x6.

What are those fuel tanks? 160 gallons each? ...X4 = 640 gallons....hmmm....you'll still have to stop a lot for gas, by the looks of that monster! It looks so thirsty there should be a tongue hangin' out the front grill!!!
