I received this email what to do, what to do!!!!!!!!!
I hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Manila (Philippines) and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and personal effects therein. The embassy has just issued me a temporary passport but I have to pay for a ticket and settle my hotel bills with the Manager.I have made contact with my bank but it would take me 3-5 working days to access funds in my account, the bad news is my flight will be leaving very soon but i am having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let me leave until i settle the bills, I need your help/LOAN financially and I promise to make the refund once i get back home, you are my last resort and hope, Please let me know if i can count on you and i need you to keep checking your email because it's the only way i can reach you.
Thank you!!! KAREN CARTER

Henry, Sh!te like this floats around every day, and will continue because some people fall for it. On another forum a few years back members were getting PM's sent to them with almost the same type of story line. One member's account got hacked and the hacker was sending PM's asking that members friends for money to help out. The guy was away on vacation and some of his friends though it was legit.

The title really threw me off - should be "Tugging at my Heartstrings"??
The internet scams are on the rise, a shame we all have to endure it for the 1% or 2% that actually fall for it. I've heard of "Grandkids" asking elderly folks for cash to be wired to them because they are stranded, need gas money, bad people are blackmailing, or anything to get them to feel bad for the supposed "Grandkids".
The latest one I got was asking me to click on a link to track a package that has been sent to me through the USpost office....or at least I think that is what it was trying to say! The grammar was so bad I had to kind of read between the lines. I deleted it as fast as it took me to read it and still haven't gotten that package months later!
Here is what it said:
"USPS Notification, Our companys courier couldn't make delivery of parcel to you address at 15th August.
Print you label and show it at nearest post office to get a parcel.
Print a Shipping label now "
Funny how my package will magically be at whatever post office I show up at huh?
Be careful out there people!

Last one I got was supposedly from Rev. Can. telling me I had a refund because they "re-assessed" last years claim. I usually refer this sh*t to the R.C.M.P.
...beware the " duck cleaning " calls , again in this area , at least . The second last guy was Ravinder ( I think ) and he didn't seem amused when I told him we had geese , not " ducks " . The last guy , yesterday , seemed to understand when I told him to F.O.
Well anyone who sends money to someone they don't know is just asking to loose it. I sent some money to my son in CA and was asked if I knew for sure it was legit.
Bernice played the computer guy for about 1/2 HR and then told him off, he then gave her **** for wasting his time. We have led these people on quite a few times.
