I bought this about four years ago and basically put it away in storage soon after (no interest from my two girls). I laid it up as per the Arctic Cat manual, you know drain the tank, run the bowl dry while shooting with lubricating film, pull plug and throw some oil down the cylinder and give it a dozen pulls. We had our first snow fall in Sarnia this past weekend and I thought I would give it another try with the girls. Well I was surprised, mixed up the fuel and about eight pulls in and it fired right up. I thought I would spend all day pulling the carb and going over it in the subzero garage but not the case (guess it pays to lay things up properly).
Anyway, we had a blast. They were on and off the Kitty Cat all day. Two tanks of fuel and chilled to the bone watching them. All the neighborhood kids and parents over for a try making me the coolest dad on the block. It brought a tear to this gear head dad's eyes. Maybe my two girls will come around to the rodder side yet, Rhys.
Way to go Rhys!!You didn't mention how old the girls were, but they will remember moments like this forever. My Son, (soon to be 18) still talks about going sledding with me when he was 4. Great memories..

So very cool, I must have put a billion miles on mine ( it was actually the first one imported into Canada) in 1971 . I looked after it,wore a track right off it and then made a huge mistake of selling it to my older brother for his three kids, they ruined it and I was only able to salvage some of it which still have...

Start them out early they will remember this too. I still remember my first ride on a sled. It was called a fox with a JLO motor. We literally rode the crap out of it until our feet and hands were so cold the they were burning. lol
And if anyone knows of another Kitty Cat for sale I have a friend that wants to share memories with his son one day too

If you're looking to get a small kids snowmobile, look for a Polaris or Ski-Doo 120. Not knocking the Kitty Cat, but the other two are a way better design and will actually go through much deeper snow.
Or better yet, get a sheet of 18gauge steel, and hammer out a small jeep. Stuff a 5hp Briggs in it and you're good to go. I built this 15 years ago and still have it. Keeping it for my Grandkids oneday !
