Lighting looked horrible at best , im sure other makes ( ford-chevy ) assembly line booths were the same back then , could explain paint issues back in the day...
I worked there back then. It looks pretty dark and dismal in that photo but they were actually very clean and well lit. That's fluorescent lighting all along the top corner and the walls were glass with lighting outside as well. Wasn't long after that, that robots came into use. I've been to almost every Chrysler plant and that booth could be from anyone of them.

that's where I lived for a couple of years way back when…first coat sides and 69 an hour. The lights are actually turned off in that pic and as Ragtop said they were pretty bright and clean. The grating in the floor was for the downdraft. You couldn't spray the guy on the other side of the booth with it running
