On a related note. I have 50 lbs left in my propane tanks for my furnace. Endicott jacked up their propane price. Not looking forward to this fill.
No naturals gas available? I just converted my shop from oil to NG. Used to cost on average $8.00/ day, now I'm down to $2.50 and I keep the shop warmer.
I was very happy that it wasn't windy like it was last week! Still pretty cold though - 24C . My power steering was a little lethargic for the first few kilometers, but nothing was broken..........for a change!!!

Over the years i have seen a few really high mileage , low maintanence motors, that started up at -40c. Just gotta catch it right, seen lots of new stuff too that just would not go , or kick kick kick and never actually get enough RPM to get running.
Perfect weather to have 0-W-30 in the crankcase.
its so cold , after doing the dishes , wiped hands on a towel , ran out to car in lane way , on way back in my hand almost stuck to the out side door knob ..77.

With it being as cold as it has been, a lot of people aren't taking the time to clean or defrost their windows... Today, this dick in a truck pulled out in front of me....
Temps have temporarily mellowed out here, low this morning of only -18c and high of -10c today. Got another 6 inches of blowing snow till early this afternoon.
Well, the warming up thing lasted one day! Lol
Low of -35c this morning with a bit of air movement, chill factor gotta be -42c or so.
(Not a good morning to have to hitch-hike) Lol
-28 in Belleville this morning. Must had a least of a foot of snow yesterday. I was sick of winter in December. Now I've really had enough. I keep looking at the travel sites for some place warm to go. Hemi, it's your fault, you bought a snowmobile. Global warming, yeah right, biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard.

low -17 this morning here.better than yesterday for me,wife called from sons house said brake light on.son checked pedal said low.lives 4 blocks away told them I would look at it when she gets home.20 minutes later she comes in tells me she hit the brakes and slid right up to garage.she was going slow but icey snow on driveway.I go out to check pushed on brake luckily put in reverse with foot on brake it slid back about 4 feet.if I had of put in drive would have went through garage door hitting my baby.cold enough it was on fast idle.now for the cold part I had filled master thinking I would check for leak next morning.I knew it was back brakes because the fronts were the ones working causing it to slide back with the high idle driving rear wheels.well finally at 10 oclock saturday morning I feel brave enough to tackle it.well 4 hours later I have line replaced start bleeding with my other son working bleeder screws.in all my 50 plus years I never had such a hard time bleeding brakes.all the fluid I put in friday night had drained out.so bled master on car tried again to try bleeding at rear.no luck finally cracked the line I had repaired under drivers door with my son pumping brake pedal.after 20 at least pumps it finally started to bleed tightened back up.I even tried my speed bleeder earlier at least an hour.from the point I bled at fitting it went very easy.in total 4 hours no gloves and wet with brake fluid now have brakes.now that makes for a cold morning the wind did not help.top that ha ha

your so right I was glad that over the years when I repair replace brake line I put it back in several pieces.makes it a little easier to repair rather than trying to replace the whole line.but like I said this one was worst.it would have been worse if I could have got it in garage.I would have had to deal with all the ****e dripping in my face.back years ago when they were build ontario place my cousin was driving his dump truck bringing in fill.he called me when his truck would not start had a load of fill needed to get off before it froze.ended up being points youngsters wont know about them.wind was so cold off the lake that my eyes were freezing open.had to get it started so he could dump.he would have never got it off once it froze.that was NOT a fun day.but I was also a lot younger.I am sure there are a few car people on here that have had similar experiences.I think it tests your passion for cars trucks and being able to keep them running your self.anyone can call a tow truck and pay someone to do it.I dont consider them car truck people.they are vehicle owners not car truck people in my opinion.I love reading on this site there are some real funny people on here.you were right when you told me to join in.I mean you sasqauch.
I once changed a starter right on the main street in the middle of winter in front of the automotive supplier, had to, it was fried! Lol That too was no fun climbing under the vehicle with traffic going by and it was about 0F. (Had to make sure you kept your'e feet and legs in under the vehicle!! Lol)
