I think it was -29c, windchill ??, the wife was telling me, as I was packing my lunch to head out to work. I wasn't really listening (again), but I do remember something about beating a 97 year record. That's all I needed to hear!

Beautifull morning here, low of only -9c. Reports state that this winter has been one of the best in years for trail riding, lots of snow, the trails are groomed real nice, a number of groups heading out on trips all the way up to mooseonee and back, also over into northern Quebec.
Snomobile dealers shops are very busy.

The weather last month Polar Vortexed my wallet in Hydro to the tune of $440!!! Almost twice the norm. Look like we are starting towards some higher average daily temps.

I hate dirty salt filled slush,I like clean dry snow, and agree this winter reminds me much of the older winter days like we used to get.

I would much sooner have snow than live with the months of cold dreary West Coast rain. I have no problem spending an entire day outside in the winter. You can dress for the cold and stay warm and dry. You can't do diddly outside when it's pouring rain out.

We missed out on the predicted snowfall overnight, only got 2 inches.
Low of -21c, this morning, then high today got to -15c, but windy with a chill factor of -28c-30c, it has a bit of a bite to it, but beautifull and sunny.

Another clear beautifull sunny morning, low of -32c with a -41c chill factor.

North of here all the school buses are cancelled due to the temps, low there of -41c with a chill factor of -50c.
Nice and cosy with the dry maple in the stove putting along, definetly a block heater morning for most.

Forgot to mention that a friend who is in the construction business told me yesterday, that a hole is digging with the excavator, he still had frost right down to 6 1/2ft.
This is an area that has been cleared of snow and driven over,-- in undisturbed ground with full snow cover there wouldn't be much more that a foot at most.
Gotta be a number of frozen water lines, have heard of 3 commercial buildings with frozen lines.

Snow removal is not my department Gazoo. I will do a light shovel of the steps when needed. I don't empty the garbage either.....but I will push the garbage down in the can further so more stuff will fit in. I'm not  completely useless!wink
