Aw come on Rusty, That can't be!! I count 7 months anyway,,, Lol
On second thought maybe your'e right with 42 inches of ice on the lakes to melt off.
Talked to the loggers two hours ago, they're shutting down tommorrow night as half loads are on, that's a good sign. Lol

We only got 3 of the forecasted 6 inches, but now another 4 inches is supposed to drop tonight.
High of +3c today, and tommorrow, but changing to rain in the late morning.
Hiways were a real mess this morning, but 4 studded tires makes a real difference, saw one guy though with 4 summer tires , he was all over the place just trying to turn around.

It's goin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big snow drop again today, temp got up to +17c by 2:00pm.
Bit cooler at night, slowing the run off, no flooding of any kind yet.
Yesterday lost count at 60 deer in about 12 miles, they're getting ready to start moving very soon.

Sunny again, gorgeous day at another high again of +14c.
Heard a bunch of sandhill cranes, another good sign.
Runoff has been about perfect so far, slowing overnight, going to be a good water table with all the snowmelt.
Ice on the lakes is starting to change colour a bit, starting to deteriorate with the intense sunny days on them.

Got a total of 6 inches, pretty disgusting this time of year.
Plows are out, creeks and rivers are really comming up now, temp is now +6c so it's now turning to slush, the snow was gone on the open ground till this mornings drop.
This should go fast.

The last of the ice flows coming into Nottawasaga Bay now. Good riddance to one of the worst winter in memory.
