WOW, great job guys. I think a new bench mark has been set for quickest roller fabricated. (or at least documented on a forum that I read)
Hats off to you Glen for living up to your signature line.

Geez, Grumps is still at warp speed in that last picture.
Ah-ha! That explains a lot!!! Just blew holes all the way through the old adage : "You can have it Good, quickly or cheap - pick two" You guys managed all of the above!!!! Very, very well done!
Mike: any plans to cut in a deck lid?

Not got plans to cut, only reason would be for access to gas tank and battery, it won't have space for anything else.
Dave,
I've been saving up drip trays for you, I kinda figured Glen would talk you into a small block Chevy. They are the cheapest (read most frugal) thing out there. Replacement parts are abundant and cheap (affordable)..., but that rear axle??? that's a Ford rear axle, a bit spendy for a Scotsman, but no worries, the GM power will never hurt it.
Long story short...My way of saying, it's all looking great fellows, and I'm amazed at the progress. Can't wait to see it at the cruise nights.
When it leaves my shop. I hope others will continue
To help Dave. He is a great guy who is new to our passion
I hope those following this frame build will get ideas for their own
I wanted to show that with a little skill building your own is not impossible
Thank you all again
Glenn
No....thank you Glenn............this has been a really cool thread brother and it's great to see another good guy on the road (Dave) through the good efforts of yourself......I tip my hat.
I get the feeling from Grump's last post that he thinks after our next working night he'll never see me again! lol
Truth is, this first year in Canada has been REALLY tough financially, and there's no way on earth I could have got to where I am in my project without the help of everyone on this forum.
Once I get the frame home, I can potter away with what I have, untill I get my ass into gear and make better money.
However, I DO want to get down to Brantford and help Glenn where I can with his new project, and also record his progress with some nice pictures.
Glenn made sure I was there through EVERY part of this frame build, so there's nothing I don't know about every inch of my frame. It's been tough at times, as "Grumps" isn't just a clever name, lol, but without his aggressive teaching method, I may not have taken in the knowledge I now have.

So, thanks Glenn.
All I can say is....for those of us new in the "building" of hot rods and I'm sure some of the vets....we can learn something from Dave on this quote above.
Well stated Dave and it goes without saying......NICE WORK GLENN!!
That is some good work you guys have done..I can appreciate the quote from Dave on Grumps handle not being just a clever name..I can imagine some "grumpy" Kranky moments not to unusual given the one on one for several hrs.. It's kinda like being married "she is not georgous every-night"..But that aside you guys did some great work, and I can't imagine a greater display of commrodderie from Glen to put his money where his shy soft spoken voice is, to help Dave to get to where he is to-day..It seems like such a short time ago that Dave was posting from Scotland just looking for some help to find some real estate as in looking for a place to hang his bed..
I hope I can offer some help of some kind as the weather gets better..not sure how you can move that "purty" roller around do you have a trailer Dave? or at least a trailer hitch on your truck..I do have a pipe bender and could make your exhaust and maybe help you get it wired and fired when the weather gets a bit better I do have a car trailer if you need it and maybe get it here for week or so after this cursed weather gets warmer..right now I have no water in the shop it is frozen underground so I don't expect to see water till mid march or later it did that once before in about the early nineties..It's a real pain when yah do the 2 and there ain't no flush..Anyway I would like to try to pitch in with some help but I need to get a little better weather ..I am also doing some renovations on my place so the shop is full of renovation stuff..
You guys have done a super nice job and done a great job with pictures and explanation of the work and progress..Thank you for sharing all that for the rest of us to watch and learn It's the fun time to-gether that makes this hobby so much fun It's really about the cruising ,building, and especially the fellowship and commrodderie that happens when things like this get happening..
This is a great hobby (or way of life) and it's guys like you Glen that make it so much fun and enjoyment. I've enjoyed watching the chassis come together and following Daves diary. He has a head start towards a cool ride and a lot more fun and learning. Hats off to the "Cat In The Hat"

Nice work guys, its is nice to see that a car can be built without a ton of money. Again like everyone else has already said good on you Glen to help out Dave with your time and other things, because it is easy for all of us to think that we are to busy to help someone else out. Hopefully we will see you again at Pugsy's metal meet.
Looks great..very nice work....and proof that it doesn't take huge amounts of dollars to build a hotrod.. patience and know how,,,,again,, awesome job...
