Take the time to do a text today. It may help someone.

I would not want anyone to experience what we have gone thru and are still going thru on a daily basis.

god bless

Will do! I'm not much of a "texter", usually maybe 5-6/mth. But today I'll "text' most of my contacts, just to say "Hi". Good for some 50 or so texts.

Bell is donating money today to everyone using a catch phrase in twitter and other social media I believe to help donate to mental health.
Great way also to end stigmatisim behind mental illness which myself and spouse both have. Kudos to Bell.

thanks Ghostpost ^^^^^^^^^

If it can help one person it's worth it. All the guys at my shop have been texting but spelling words 1 letter at a time.

My middle daughter who had just finished her 2nd year at Queens and was at here intern job in the summer decided after her 2nd day at work that she was tired of being tired and took an overdose of prescription medicine. luckily she is still with us and is working towards her mining engineering degree.
The school has been very supportive and has lightened her work load and helped to adjust her classes. She was able to keep her scholarship but has to visit a doctor regularly. In her first year a queens 3 kids took their lives. There is such pressure they just loose it. My wife is still not right and worries every day. I was off work for 5 weeks on stress leave but had to go back when the insurance company denied my claim. I had all kinds of form and paperwork from doctors and when I called up to find out why the insurance person told me that lots of people put in claim to get time off in the summer! After more info they finally honoured my claim.
Try to be aware of your kids. My daughter seemed well. Was enjoying her 2nd summer at the same job. They have already been after her about working there after she graduates.

My wife is bi polar and the most normal person I know.
I have PTSD.
Things happen in life sometimes out if your control.
I first dealt with mental illness when a friend was diagnosed schizophrenic and that opened my eyes and mind to mental illness.
I also worked at 2 regional mental health centres before I got sick.
Sadly there is a huge stigmatism to mental illness assuming it's the persons fault.
I not my wife never asked for this. However together we certainly compliment each other and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I blog to help others globally with my disease. Sadly it has an extremely high suicidal rate. So I try to help those by looking and living outside the box.
Support and advocacy is extremely important.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's really remarkable to share something very personal.
I hope it will help others to know they are not alone.

That's the problem sometime. People keep it quiet and don't want to talk about it or are embarrassed to say anything.
