Went with the wife for dinner yesterday at the keg. Prime rib, steak, 2 glasses of wine , 2 beer and 2 cheese cake for desert...$128.53 plus tip. Almost had a heart attack. And the pricks were rushing you out the door to get the next sucker in. Glad v.d. Day only happens once a year....sheesh.

We went to a Chinese buffet in Collingwood last night. $60 for me and Josie for just the buffet and a coke. Was worth about $6. Josie asked how much the tip should be. I said NO TIP. They did nothing. Didn't even clear the plates before each trip.

I hear ya. We were at the keg mansion earlier this week, dinner for 2 cost us about the same but the food and service was great. The best meal I've ever had was in England with my brother-in-law and his wife. It was a 7 course meal, I won't say how much that cost, luckily I didn't pay that one!

We went to Montana's Cook House on Superbowl Sunday. 56.24 + tip. Very reasonable, good food and service. A 30 oz Canadian was $3.99. I was starting to lose hope - the last three places we went were crap : Tony Roma's, Jack Assters, and The Pallisad (sic?) All were brutal, my wife is a softy and they all got a tip anyway. We'll be going back to Montana's again next outing.

Last time I went to the Keg was a work dinner paid by the Company. Ate my meal ate 1/2 a meal one of the girls couldnt finish? We left the restaurant and went to Harveys because we were still hungry. I felt bad because I saw the prices for the little food we got.

I almost don't like going out anymore. Last at Christmas wife and I went out couple of drinks, appetizer and dinner was $80. Most of the food I could have cooked just good or better. Still had to listen to a dozen noisy conversations around me too. I would rather spend some extra on meat and produce and cook it myself, drink all I want and not have someone try to hurry me out the door.
When we go to Syracuse for the Nationals I find way cheaper to eat there than here too.
