Well, dropped my wife off at Laurier yesterday morning before snowpocalypse happened. I spent a bit of time on the side of the road waiting out the weather, figured I could get back to stratford to work.
Hah.
I decided after watching the knuckleheads speeding past me, I'd be better off on a side road. Pulled on to a side road and into a farmer's driveway, just to stay off the road.
Its swirling snow, total white-out, can't see my whipers in front of me, but I've got a tank of gas in the car, a bunch of podcasts, and I'm warm.
I've spent about 2 hours on the side of the road at that point before I got over into a side road. within about 5 minutes of sitting there, someone knocks on my window! Guess they were home, invited me in.
I spent the rest of the day warm, in front of a fire, having a great time. Made some new friends.
