I have a 53 Mercury M100 I'm working on. Picked it up in the fall.
Don't exactly know what I'm doing but learning a lot and just happy I'm actually working a bit on my own hot rod this time around.
The truck is a bit of a mutant, I'm sure not everyone will like it but I don't care. I just wanna drive and enjoy it.
Has a worn out sbc 350, 79 camaro front end, gm 7.5" rear end. It stops and turns really nice. I'm working on re-mounting the rear end right now, then onto brake lines. I also plan on centering the license plate frame, in case anyone notices in the pics.
The hockey puck bump stops may be patriotic but I think I'm going to change that up. The miles of red plastic conduit on every single wire and cable are coming out, the pedal covers have been removed, and currently looking for maybe a reproduction mid 50's ford/merc steering wheel.
Finished cutting up my exhaust today and dropping it off to get welded up tomorrow. Pretty short exhaust dumped under the bed, 8" cherry bombs. Should be a little obnoxious and not everyone will like it which is exactly the feel I'm going for.
I have some work to do still before I put it on the road but hopefully ready soon. Looking forward to cruising this summer, assuming winter ends at some point.
