Had yard cleanup today.Got as far as the delivery, which has finally appeared out of the snow and cleaned up the branches and debris from the ice storm .no damage but there is a pile of kindling for the fire pit. What a gorgus day.Found the transmission the guy wanted to buy in what used to be my garage befor the wind storm .Car parts and stuff is popping out of the snow at a good rate now . Maybe I can find enough stuff to actually start it this week.I guess the next thing to deal with is going to be the mud when the frost comes out. I can deal with that later right now its a great day to be working on car stuff. Ed
Changed the oil in the wifes "Hot Rod" (07 Sub.) and the 1st bank 2nd O2 sensor had to use a 3 foot Johnson bar to crack it nice to get some warm weather
Went to work for a few hours...
Got home, changed to plugs, PCV valve, re-assembled the intake plenum, installed the throttle body and air intake on my daughter's Corolla (the roll-over).
Fired it up, got it running up to operating temp. It needs a bit of tuning, maybe a TPS, it sputters on acceleration, and won't rev up.
But I'm glad it's not knocking, compression is good,etc...
Now, just warming up the BarB, for the 1st steaks on the grill in a good stretch.
34 GUY : Looks like a 250 headed into your ' 34 -- Nice choice ! -- The Langdon headers are SOOOOOO much better than tube headers -- I will be changing mine real soon. I also run the same valve cover and lifter covers -- Good luck with the project -- So far your work looks great -- LATER -- DON / fleet 51
Spent the afternoon cursing GM engineers (again) who put absolutely zero thought in their design that someday someone might have to take this thing apart. I do believe they have meeting to discuss how inaccessible they can make things, and giggle the whole time.
But to end the day, I fired up the BBQ, pork chops and sweet potatoes are on, yeah spring!

Made a valance piece for my air vents so I wouldn't have to cut the dash. Got it in place with vice grips now. Going to bolt it in properly and get more air ducts run for next weeks show and tell.. We'll I told already so it's just a show...
Built some shelves in the loft of the garage (not worth taking a pic). Tossed some burgies on the barbie, cracked a couple of cold ones, soaked up plenty sun on the deck (need that vitamin E) and completely ignored anything and everything else going on in the world today.

Hey Don
The motor is a 250 , The Langdon headers are really made well and fit good. Going to run a 2004r transmission with
a Toyota rear end 4.30 to 1 posi . How do you think that should work ,being an inline guy.
Joe if you know what tires you are going to run plug the numbers into one of the engine/speed/rpm calculators on line . no point in guessing. at 60 mph with a tire dia of 27.5" you should be around 2100 rpm in overdrive out of overdrive or 1.0 : 1... 3100 rpm
I replaced the right front, wheel hub ass'y, on my DD Dakota, yesterday, after work.
Took the intake plenum, throttle body, off my girl's Corolla, after work today. I need to get gaskets for it, it's got a bit of an air leak.
I need to replace the TPS anyway.
I won't get ANY work done this weekend, going to the Auction.
