I,m not shure on his motor , but mine would idle like a vintage pro stock .
my previous hot rod boat had a sbc in it , it sank in the lake here in town , 18 ft fibre glass an the back part like where you would hang an out board off , ripped off . It went down pretty fast . I guess I should mention I can,t swim . we rigged a 4 spd trans up , trying to make an over drive unit . but it would get into a high speed wallow / wobble , and the pounding onto waves it just ripped apart . .
Relics boat was aluminum . it shouldn't sink ha ha ..77.

i can relate to what your saying 77. most boat owners are as passionate as we are and thats in the motor part of it. puffballers are in a complete comma. lol
not shure on the construction of the boat , but aluminium is lighter an when yer building a clone there isn,t many rules . This project is way off in the future though ..77.

There were two jet boats used by the character Relic. The one most fans remember was called Hi Baller II and was used from the second season until the end. The first craft, Hi Baller I was used for just the first season. She was slightly smaller than her successor and had more square windows. She did reappear for an episode called "Jet Boat Gemini" in 1974. Both boats were seen together as the man in the second craft was impersonating Relic. He was stealing logs and hassling local residents until Relic saved the day at the end in a duel of jet boats. This episode was considered a fan favourite. It is hoped that someday the craft will be found and restored to sit by the Persephone.
Robert Allan Clothier (October 21, 1921 – February 10, 1999) was a prominent Canadian stage and television actor most famous for his role on the long-running CBC television show, The Beachcombers.
