Well I fired it up,put my new sticker on and went for a ride.It was a very short ride.Down the driveway, right turn onto the road I live on.Good so far brakes work, everything sounds ok.Stop at the corner of the main road(Dale Rd for the local guys).Yup good to go one car way down there.Pull onto main road about 3min time so far !st ok,2nd hold it sound great,3rd oh sh-t,can't belive that car was a cop.Yes he is stoping me,I haven't even gotten into 4th gear on this ride yet. Hi he says ownership, licence ,ins..Ok got all that what did I do ,Licence light not working.Thinking wipers, park brake,If he checks everything I'm screwedAre you going to give me a ticket I politely ask.No just a warning but if you don't fix it and I see it again I will .I was really checking for your ins. Thankyou officer. OK is he gone yet .Ok 1st good ,2nd hold it a bit sounds awsome,3rd still pullin, now 4th ya now home quick befor he hears the headers . Interesting first drive maybe I'm good for the summer now. Ed

Lets see.

I swapped out the old steal rear diff cover for a finned alum one (jag irs) I had to fix a leak anyway, figured might as well dress it up. Turns out the old vent was clogged, pushing gear oil past the seals.

Yanked the radiator as the fill tube is leaking, will fix it up tomorrow.

Clocked the alternator, breaking a brush in the process.....grrrrrrr, making the wire connection to short to reach, will have to extend the wire.

Pulled the trans pan to replace, figured while I am in there might as well install a shift kit as the 700r4 stock shifts are really soft. So I pulled the valve body out and started cleaning it up. Going to tear it completely down tomorrow.

Happy Easter!
