Creeks and rivers here are at their top, some flooding, but nothing serious yet.
The snow is almost gone , except in the bush where it isn't getting much sun, turning colder for a couple of days/nights that will slow the runoff down, so far things look great.
Surprising after the snow depths we had.
Well my boss stayed dry this time, he lives right in the area where it was flooding.
Unfortunately the shop where I work at was not so lucky. It seems someone on the weekend came in to wash car and forgot to turn the tap off for the hose. It was located next to buddys tool box. The hose sprung a leak and flooded his box.

spent the weekend helping out in foxboro. i am about a mile away. one guy who transferred here with the railway and then retired, bought a house on the river and was in a big pickle about the sump pump thing. got his up to snuff and gave him one i had here for a spare and hooked up. --interesting fact, when the fire dept came and sand bagged around his house one of the guys mentioned that once they declared it an emergency and you don't register with the fire/relief effort, you have no insurance on the house, period. -stopped at another older guys place, newfie and a friend, to check in and the water is about 3-4ft from his foundation. asked where the sand bags were and he says i will be alright as he lifted everything off the floor. said the guys were there in the morning asking him and he told them he was ok, not. told him about the insurance issue and he paid attention then. drove him over to register as he had had a few pops and when he told them his address they beat us back to his house with the bags. crazy ole drick. suppose to be level and will start down in a day or 2 if it doesn't rain up north. still a ft or 2 of snow in the woods up there, here's hoping.
sorry for the sideways shots. the 1st is off the deck of the railroader with a remote controlled boat. the deck is about 2-3 out over the water.
the 2nd is the newfs and the water is about 4-5ft on this side of his house from the foundation. about 6" high on the other side of the bags
Quite the flooding going on in NewBrunswick right now.

looking at the trailers there reminded me of a site, crashed toys.com, they get lots of trailers in. they had a bunch some while ago that got hit with a hail storm that went quite reasonable i thought. today you could put a full vinyl side on it like the trucks put on for advertizing.
And we think we had a bad winter. They had it X10 .Good thing they are a tough bunch, but everyone has there limits. Hope they get a break soon and a sunny summer. Ed
Today it appears the runoff up here is about finished , at the high level anyway. The chilly nights -(minus 3-8c ) have slowed the flow way down allowing the water level in the creeks and rivers to drop a good foot just in the past 24 hours.
Now to wait for the lake ice to melt off so it will really get warmer temps.
