I won't be taking the flu shot again.

I had pains in my left arm, sometimes in the joints (shoulder, elbow) sometimes it just felt like I pulled a muscle (forearm, bicept and hand itself) .  I couldn't figure out what it was that I did to my arm.  I had also felt this pain before but never paid much attention to it and never really put two and two together.  I gave it some thought this time and realized that the only thing (and I mean the ONLY thing) that "I" had done to this arm before the pain, was I had the flu shot.  I had my flu shot on Nov 15 and the pains etc are just now fading ........ FIVE months later.  My parents friend (in her 80's) was never so sick in her life immediately after having the flu shot last year.  My wifes parents are both sick now (after having the flu shot this winter) and have been ill for over two weeks so far, with the flu.

The wife spoke to a doctor she knows, about my pains and the doctor just shrugged and nodded (as though it is not uncommon) and agreed that I had a negative reaction to shot.

Glad it works for you but it certainly does not work for everyone.

Did I get the flu?  No.  But I definitely had a negative reaction to the serum itself so I don't feel it is safe for me to get the flu shot again.

Trapping a skunk? Easy! Dig a hole 2'X3', it needs to be 3 tp 4' deep. Next, line the bottom half of the hole with ashes - you want to trap it, not kill it! Once the ashes are in the hole, take some peas and space them an inch apart all the way around the perimeter. You are done!!!! All you have to do now is wait out of sight, but where you can still get a good view of the trap. This is the most important step, so follow it closely or it won't work!

Wait for the skunk and watch it closely. As soon as it stops to take a pea, sneek up behind it and kick it right in the ash hole!!!!wink  biggrinbiggrin

Hey this time I've got my glass' on. Last time I thought to my self wow a skunk under his desk,,,,,must be some office.

Anyway I always used cheap catfood. I've trapped lots of them that way,, you might want to put a stake through the trap so he can't tip it over.

As long as he can't see you he won't spray,, just walk toward him holding up a sheet like a sail with both arms  ,,cover the trap and you're good,, I usually put a small stick under the handle to hold it up some as you have to lift it through the sheet by the handle. When you want him out put the trap on a slight grade with the door end lower, push/roll the trap over two times so its upside down ,remove the sheet and your done

It works,, good luck

Harry said..

I'm with Harry..I haven't had the flu for 14 /15 years ever since I started the flu shot..nor have I ever had any side effects..My old girl the same but she whines about it she always has a bruise from the needle and her arm is sore for a few days ..but no flu....I can understand it not working for every body ..hell if we look this different on the out-side how much different could we be on the inside..but for 95% it works or at least makes not nearly as bad for them..
