Yes I would let it go... and I have. Never laid any of mine down as luck would have it.
But I did take a pheasant to the head on Wassi rd. Nice flat stretch to wind it out but for got about the bloody pheasant farm near by. I was damn lucky.....but I did have to buy a new lid
I was just pushing the boundaries of grip between coarse asphalt and hard compound tires. Pushed a little too far and drifted towards the shoulder, but before reaching it I counter steered hard in attempt to avoid the ditch. The physical limitations of the tires combined with the footpeg bottoming on the road caused the tires to slip out - a "Lowside" (laid it down) never actually hitting anything other than dirt - sure the bike and I flipped several times, but didn't hit anything but soggy turf. A crash, in my eyes, involves striking another vehicle or immovable object like a curb, building, sign or tree. Hitting any of those things at 230 Kmh and I wouldn't be here today - Lucky I guess.

There are 2 types of riders. Ones that have dumped and ones that are going to...Im still the about to club.
Sadly. I buried a friend of mine who never made it. Fellow drag racer.
Yes, there is many idiots on bikes but more idiots in vehicles who don't pay attention. I found when i ride I am twice as alert/aware of my surroundings.
