His buddy has about 45 extra horse power and a bunch more torque, 1000cc VS 600cc - He was just showing off! Nice revs outta that lil' 600 though!!!

I've been there - Done that.

....but it was only 278kmh on a prehistoric machine from way back in 1988.

Fun for sure, but older and wiser now and likely won't heal too quickly these days!

I laid this one down at 230 KMH this one time and it sucked real bad!

Look Ma ..... I'm a Freakin' Idiot! (4rth gear @ 10,000rpm one hand)

Good thing it was April and the ground was extra soft/soggy

....also good I just tumbled a lot and didn't hit anything solid.

I was still very sore for weeks and I was young!

I rebuilt it out of pocket to avoid the insurance claim:

I upgraded to ultra lightweight aftermarket Mavic wheels,

grippy Comp K Metzlers, 52 tooth rear sprocket,

Muzzy Titanium 4 into 1 pipe, K&N conical filters and awesome oversized Brembo brakes.

I polished the frame and swingarm because it was all scratched up anyway - it looked like chrome!

I was just pushing the boundaries of grip between coarse asphalt and hard compound tires. Pushed a little too far and drifted towards the shoulder, but before reaching it I counter steered hard in attempt to avoid the ditch. The physical limitations of the tires combined with the footpeg bottoming on the road caused the tires to slip out - a "Lowside" (laid it down) never actually hitting anything other than dirt - sure the bike and I flipped several times, but didn't hit anything but soggy turf. A crash, in my eyes, involves striking another vehicle or immovable object like a curb, building, sign or tree. Hitting any of those things at 230 Kmh and I wouldn't be here today - Lucky I guess.

There are 2 types of riders. Ones that have dumped and ones that are going to...Im still the about to club.

Sadly. I buried a friend of mine who never made it. Fellow drag racer.

Yes, there is many idiots on bikes but more idiots in vehicles who don't pay attention. I found when i ride I am twice as alert/aware of my surroundings.

Imagine the carnage if someone pulled out in front of them. At 300 KMH you wouldn't even see them coming up behind you.
