Listning to the radio

Siting here listning to the local station and my son spinning the tunes playing stax of wax or something like that. He is actually playing his kind of music(indie, don't know if that means Bollywood)  and I thought I would be screeming at him to turn that crap off but suprizingly it seems like the late 60s and early 70s all over again. The local bands are really quite good. So the Ratlers are well represented on radio with Grumpy on Wed playing old country and The Boy, Mon playing indie. Funny how stuff happens.  Ed

Some of these bands in fact most are really good .I guess they want to go there own way and not have some big label dictate there music. Can't argue with that. Ed

i was sitting at the computer reading eds post reminiscing about old tunes plus i had some old cassette tape sitting on the table beside me. actually they have been sitting for a couple of years now. the 2 tapes i couldn't find any torrents for were karen finley (tales of taboo) and kashtin (akua tuta) so i went surfing looking for options. an option that worked is if you can find a youtube of the song the site youtube-mps.org will convert it for you. so to make a long story short the tapes are going back on the shelf because i have mp3 of the tunes now. karen finley isn't really music but it is funny because of shock valve.

I have to admit I play records once in a while. Biggest problem is finding a bunch of dimes to fire up the jukebox.

eah , 8 tracks and cd's are both just fads

both have the often fail to work thing in common too

at least you can "fix" tapes and records

best to back up the cd / dvd collections as they have a limited life span & won't work forever - unlike a 100 year old record

you know that right ?
