So.....When I do nothing and let the name calling and smart remarks continue, I get sh!t upon for that from a bunch of the members.............and then when I warn them and warn them and finally do something about it, I get sh!t upon too......Seems a person cant win with you....All I ask is that you be civil toward one another. I made a separate section for the people that want to get crude or do whatever you wish, but it still gets dragged back onto the main section of the board.

The Rat Rod of Ontario is the way it is because the owner of it just doesnt care.....He hasnt been on there in over a year now. Not to brag, but I was the one who did 99% of the recruiting on that forum before I decided I had done enough and started this one. Thr RRoO board is still there if you want to use it.

The problem seems to be that a lot of us don't know what happened . Probably none of my business anyway to comment on something I didn't see. Hard to say if something went too far or not if the posts are gone . Poncho usually lets a lot go so who knows what line was crossed,and who crossed it . Ed

Not just me, and I'm sure your mailbox will verify that !! You went about wrong (again) and shouldn't have banned Joe and Rob. Mancaver came in with a mission to stir things up and the two members you put in the hot-box were just pushing back at him.

Do you need to oversee and control this place? somewhat !! When things get totally out of hand then it's justified, but it seems lately you've become a bit trigger happy. Also, all the post deleting is really confusing members that didn't get a chance to read what happened. You can't change what was written !! Deleting posts wont change a thing. Not much different than trying to burn books to change history !! Remember??

This is a great site, but not because of the way you're running it, but mostly because of the people in it !! Most issues will work themselves out like they always have in the past.

I can see good points from both sides but to be honest, Harry is right .There is too much of this crap going on here and it's
about time that everyone stopped acting like my fifteen year old daughters and grow up. He did also make a section specifically for the
goofing around, have a little respect and recall that this forum has made a lot of great friends and for some wonderful time wasted...
Harry,thank you for putting your time and effort in to this site, I thoroughly enjoy it , have made a lot of what I'd like to call good friends
and had some very good dealings because of. I do not recall once that anyone has been asked to help out, either physically or with
money and we all know this must be costing some sheckles out of your pocket from time to time.. You're the man, you're the guy
attempting to enforce a few simple rules for a few simple minded folks and ( the rest of you can now tune in and listen) we need to respect
those wishes, like it or not. There are no other sites quite the same , or quite the same as this has been, we need to get over this stupidity,
make our amends and get back to the program before it turns in to the HAMB ( Hundreds of *******s Moaning & Bitching) Sorry Ryan,it had
to be said as there are a tone of these issues there too.. and yes, I follow that group as well because I have found many great friends and resources there as well..

I'm 100% with Harry on this one. I haven't read the "episode", as I have been away for a week. I do know who got sent to the penalty box.
Whether they deserved it or not, it sounds like they were involved in some manner.

Harry has an agreement with "Activeboard", the supplier/host of this forum. That agreement has a code of conduct etc...

Harry has also repeatedly reminded/warned EVERYBODY, to keep the BS for the OFF TOPIC, or PM between yourselves.

This is a public forum, not only members can read the posts.

Sure I enjoy reading some heated debates myself, and the forum would get a bit boring without some.

BUUUUUTTTT...., there is no reason to let it escalate to some of the levels of dis-respect, I've seen here in the past.

most times its like you should just maybe think for a second before replying . I see lotsa posts start on here , get a few replies , then the witty slash mouthy replies come out an the post goes off in some " rant " direction , that has nothing to do with the direction of the post at all , then the post is basically shut down or dies , cause no one wants to reply an come under fire . you see it even in the for sale section , even in the posting of the stolen duster , some remark oh its a pos , well that might be true in a way , its not mint , but the post was about the dilemma of hobby cars getting stolen , not whether its a dodge Toyota or an amc .
when you reply , try an think of it this way .
its a hot summer evening , you see a guy working away in his garage , you walk in and say , hey man , can I help you , or maybe I know some one who,s good with these things . guess what things are gonna go ok .
or scenario number two , you see a guy working away in his garage , you walk in and announce that you and you alone are the master of this thing , or that what he,s working on is a pos an he should just forget it , guess what , things aren,t gonna work out to good . simple choices in wording can mean a lot good or bad .
if you get banned from a site that has like what 6 rules for posting . that's axeually kinda funny ..77.

I've been a member here for about a year. I don't post here much. Tried once and got called a mooch.

Way too cliquish for me. The site is dominated by one group.

To the admin: keep up the good work. Don't let others run your site. Speak for the silent majority that choose not to have confrontations with the thugs.

I am with Dan on this one.in the time I have been on here some times people get razed.but it is a public open forum kinda funny that a person that gets banned once comes back full of supposed contrition admitting he shiiiit disturbs promises to never do it again.short time later surprise surprise he is back at it given a time out low and behold no sooner does he return then back at it.I do not know any of those he seems to enjoy tormenting.I realize I did not read the post that set off this latest episode but I do know who should be gone.Harry I also realize the position you are in but this time without reading the post in question I wholeheartedly believe Rob and Joe were pushed to the limit by I wont even acknowledge him by mentioning his name.when I see his name on a post I dont even bother reading it due to his vendetta and asinine comments.I enjoy your site very much.I have learned in life with his type if you ignore them they will eventually slink off having said that try to ignore him.

So Bubba one post is upset.The site is not to his liking and is dominated by cilquish thugs. Well Bubba seems to me that after one post in a year or more you have two choices, three really.Choice 1 speak up express yourself knowing what goes on here,good and bad and try to steer the site in a direction you like,choice 2 would be suffer in silence,and 3 would of course be move on to a site more to your liking .I doubt you will win many people over with your name calling as your anual contribution to this site. I'm on this side too. I've seen too much mud slinging, baiting and general rudeness that wouldn't last 3 minutes in the "real" world or my shop, why do it here?

Keep the BS drama off the site Harry, I've got your back too and I know the majority here do as well and appreciate the growth and hardwork to get this forum to where it is today.

As for me, I've been block sanding every night for a few weeks so I can update my project thread eventually.....unless my arms fall off and I can't type.

I'm with Chris on this issue which shouldn't even be an issue. There is good reason that I don't have the key to get in the "Off Topic" section, but there must not be enough action over there I guess.

Keep up the good work Harry, I'm diggin' the site and some of the decisions you've had to make couldn't be that easy, but I think you are keeping a good balance here - there are young impressionable minds on here too! Glad you haven't forgotten about them.

the cats build thread got ruined by all the b/s on it not pertaining at all to the build, as an example. it was a build thread not a vent your spleen thread. as far as i am concerned somebody should of stepped in earlier to clean it up. as for the guys getting a time out i don't know why or much care. thats between them and ponch. there's a job i wouldn't care for and thanks for the effort ponch. running an adult day care can't be easy.
he gave the site a section to have the peeing match's, use it. enter at you own risk.

back in the day, if you got too rowdy in the hotel, you got barred for awhile. some guys agreed, some didn't. in the end it was a call that got made by the management. i don't see this as being a whole lot different..........just a whole lot more comical given the average age of most of us here. hahahaha.
