As far as the site goes, there seems to be a lot of pessimism about the future of it! I may not post very much, but my signature says it all! There is so much talent [including Dan] on this site, so much for people like me to learn from. I'm like most people on here, I don't need the crap or the hassles, it is easy to say " just move on to another thread", well what if I started the thread?
Hopefully we didn't lose Joe permanently!
Remember "one door closes, another door opens", let's just get on with it! Hopefully some of the silent members will start posting.
Having seen Jonny's Anglia (and others), I'm anxious to see it's rebirth AND some violent launches on 9 second passes!!!! PLEASE POST AT WILL, JONNY!!!!

This is a very good forum and has very few problems compared to other forums. I learn something every time I log in. I chime in from time to time but have not posted a build thread yet but will as soon as I learn how to post pics.
I have read lots. And wow it's a lot to read spawned across several threads. I been sitting back reading and trying to understand everyone's perspective. I leaned not so long ago that waiting for an apology that is never going to happen is like expecting a prostitute only to give you a hug. If it's not gong to happen. It's not. And just to move forward.
Also so once someone is going. Coming back will never be the same.
People will never forget what was said and not done vs trying to re invite.
i only met Dan once. I do not know the man. I'm sure he will be just fine as Harry.
When I logged or joined I read the rules. And know Harry is the owner. I am well aware of the fact I can be removed at any time. I'm ok with that.
We we for the most part are adults. And will manage fine in life without someone.
i admit there has been many times I have read off putting comments. 99% of the time I just click next and move on. I got much more things in life to deal with than negative comments. I click next and I forget it happened.
i like the site. I know some of you. It can and has been off putting or un inviting to some new members. Not everyone has thick skin like me or ignores stuff. Some take it to heart.
I don't disagree or agree to ban or reinstate anyone. It's not my website forum. My contributions have been limited as I am fairly new. I will say this having a young gear head in this house he looks upon us to learn. Knowledge will die if we don't pass it along. Arrogance is a huge turn off. My car is better or fastER or why is your POS even here? Pfft. Walk a mile in my shoes. And you will slowly understand that stuff like this is minescule and we should just get along civilly.
I look forward ward to this forum growing positivly

At the risk of opening a can of worms...To the best of my knowledge/recollection, there has only been ONE build thread, that for some reason or another, kept getting thrown out of perspective. You make an observation, and the masses throw you under the bus, like you're some kind of a one eyed Hogger.
For what ever reason(s), who cares, why does it matter. I don't care, I'm here to enjoy the hobby, and learn while I'm at it, and maybe share some of my knowledge, to who ever is open to learn/or listen.
The vast majority of the builds, like Pugsy's, Invision's, Slab's and Ben's, Hannu's, etc, etc...go on uninterrupted and with praise and support.
Just because there's a bit of elevated discussion on ONE thread, it does not set the trend for the forum as a whole.
I love seeing and reading, all the variety of builds.
So please, don't get discouraged from posting yours.
NO Forty no no no you can't leave I for one really enjoy your posts, you have never put anyone down, made fun of them or made a newbe not feel welcome!! I look forward to the things that you have done, the cruises and your different look at the rodding world.I have been, how do I say, emmbarased to post because I have spelled a word wrong, nervous to post because It's going to be shot down for some reason or another. All your hard work posting all the pictures are awesome!! I-we might not always say thanks but you should know that there is a lot of grateful people here glad for what you are doing. I am like a lot of people here and stand 100% behind Harry and the way he has run this site and I think over the next few months there will be a lot more posts about regular cars instead of the constant slamming of posts a few have done.
Fordy ain't going anywhere. Here's an automotive forum junky! He needs spread his fix around so the heat don't catch on!

Right you are. I never said I was leaving, I've just seen this sort of thing happen so many times, it's easy to see the similarities/ writing on the wall. Of course it could take a right turn and take right off again too - let's hope!

I'm not leaving until the end. What causes these forums to fold is lack of content - less to see = less visits to see what's up. Eventually nothing new in a day, revert to checking in once a week. Gradually nothing happens in a month and people start forgetting passwords - a shame for sure.
I'll do what I can to generate interest through event coverage and such, but it takes a village!!!!
Don't worry about spelling mistakes, my posts are usually full of them and I often edit after the fact - no big deal. You could always just lie and blame fat fingers as most do, it has become an acceptable lie. Also, no need to worry about a post being "shot down" as most of the "shooters" are MIA and we've got your back!

wow guess I missed a lot while away.i always got great answers to my questions here and I really enjoy the build threads. heres hoping this site continues
Stay positive and drive what you have. Nobody knows everything and the world doesn't wake up to one voice. Keep this site about cars and less about personalities and it will survive. See everyone at Dundalk I hope!!!!!

I love this site ! I couldn't build my ride without it ! You guys are all so helpful. I don't post much in the summer when I'm too busy wrenching but when I can pass on something I learned I always try to remember to do so. You people are what inspire and aid people new to the hobby. I appreciate all the help that is offered and I am learning a lot. It might take me a day to do what you guys can do in an hour but I take my time to ensure I get it right and I enjoy the time it takes. I love this stuff. I don't understand what the debate is about (if there is one) but I like it here. I visit whenever I can. I like learning here. My friend with his 46 will join here soon too I hope. I have a 29 'A'. Thanks for listening.
I should have added that when I say I couldn't build my ride without this site, I meant I couldn't build it 'correctly' without this site. Kindnesses put me in the right direction every time. I love this site !
