Wanted to say hello & introduce myself & my new find (my dream car)
Grew up wrenching on cars, worked at an engine rebuilder as a summer job, worked after school at a bodyshop, painted cars to pay my way thru college, when I was 17 I mounted a 1950 Chevy 2 Door sedan body to a 1978 Impala frame & got it running (never had the funds to get it on the road, but learned alot) Past few years I have been messing with a couple MG Midgets (yes I'm sorry but they are a fun car)... anyways my dream car has always been a 50/60's era Model A Coupe HotRod... this past August my dream came true. Happy to find this site, really hoping by slim chance someone on here remembers this car & maybe even has pictures ! I have located the original builder, 2nd owner, 3rd owner passed away years ago & I'm the 4th owner - So I'm very lucky to have contact with original builder but if I can get more story's or pictures that will be great.
Here is "Snewpee" built 1960 - 1962, last plated in 1970 - parked in a garage since then until I pulled it out in August. 1947 Merc Suspension front & back, 8BA Flathead, 3speed toploader etc. Already started on it's preservation, not restoration - My feeling is there are very few Hotrods around that are truely a time capsule & I want to make it safe & polish everything up the best it can be & drive the wheels off it !
If anyone recognizes this car from Sault Ste. Marie back in the 60's let me know !

Welcome from Walkerton. Love your car and the history. Your winter will be very enjoyable doing your "preservation".
Hopefully someone here will be able to help you fill in the blanks.
