Remember the Flagman ……………. I wonder how tired he was by the end of the day ???

And then came the Tree …… which just got in the way.

And as posted before, the final insult to the tree.

On a different note ………….

I stopped to see a friend in Georgia the last time I was south.  John is a car guy.

John also showed me his "Science Project" as he calls it.

Then I had to change a brake calliper that decided to stick on. So I pulled the motorhome up to his shop.

The next day John and Shannon drove us from his place in the lower west corner of Georgia to see the Tallahassee Automobile and Collectable Museum.   All kinds of neat stuff in here.

http://www.tacm.com

One of Al Capone's cars

One of the Hearse's that was used for Linclon.

 It's more than old cars.

 A Case Car.

An Oldsmobile Sedan Delivery ,  the first one I ever saw.

We are moving newer to the 50s, Muscle Cars and other neat stuff next.

You should have put a jack under one of them to at least make us think it could pull the wheels!!

Great shots but your drag racing shots do it for me.

How come no one has any early circle track cars on this site? Man I would like to see some Pinecrest, CNE, Speedway Park, Cayuga, Delaware, and any of the other forgotten ovals and their history in photographs.

Just saying.

Yup, I love wheel standing door slammers .  But I also like history.

Boat and Marine motors.

Batman.

 Bat Girl.

Bikes

A Stude made up as a Tucker for the movie roll over scenes.

Diecast.

 All kinds of collectables.

 Golf Clubs.

Talk about workmanship…..

 1948

Soap Box Derby.

Garden Machinery with the engine in the centre of the wheel.

And "Modern TV". I remember seeing one of these when I was a kid.

There is lots more to see, so if you are in the area it's worth a stop.

As usual, an amazing collection of photos.
I think the Kaiser Darrin door went into the front fender.
I wonder how many Batmobiles are out there now?

Regarding the doors on the Kaiser Darrin , I typed first and should have looked at what I typed. Oops.

The Batmobile from the 60's  I looked inside of this car and it wasn't like any other Batmobile I have seen.    I didn't have all of the trick gadgets and it had a Simpson seat belt set.  It looked to be the car that toured the drag strips back in the day.

Buddy's right leg don't look right in that last pic - broken? I don't think his knee is supposed to bend that way!

I think he has it hooked in the steering wheel so he doesn't slide down.
Posed for your entertainment, I'm sure.

I had the pleasure of watching a NASCAR race from Richard Childress' condo at Charlotte.
My son does computer work for them and had 5 seats. Food and drink included.

Would you believe it's a 68 Camaro ???   Look at the rear wheel opening.   Booth up-dated his 68.

Is that a supercharged Offy in the dragster?

Interesting the shot of the top fuel car being worked on in the pits when you think about the organized chaos in the Top Fuel pits now. Those talented folks can perform miracles with those race cars these days.

Another set of great shots and yes we have almost made it through winter although it is snowing as I look outside!

The last picture with the lad pushing the dragster has Tony Nancy in the background.
He used 22Jr. on most cars.
