Just want to say congratulations to those young Canadians for an incredible effort throughout the World Juniors and bringing home the gold.  Canada was well represented from coast to coast.  That game tonight against Russia was one of the most exciting games I've seen.  I'm sure many on here have children and grand children playing hockey the Canadian way.

A nail biter from the 2nd period for sure, but they hung in there!!! A pretty disiplined bunch at the begining sent the message - they put up with a bit of greif in the 1st few minutes and prevailed anyway with 2 quick ones!

Team Canada had 9 goals against for the entire tourney, I think with that dominance, it proved they deserved the Gold. Domi had a great tourney, but really shined in the final - a testiment to his maturity. And how about Nurse battling that big Rousky the entire game!!!!

Congrats Boys!!!

Excellent game all tha way . It had everything you want in a game. The excitement of an early lead, the oh no moments of the Russian comeback, and the tenson of the final period protecting the lead. Unbelivable memories for these young guys and for fans of hockey in general. Ed

Last evening, just after 8:00pm I headed over to Home Depot to grab some screws. Pulled into the parking lot and was amazed to find it almost completely empty. I figured the reason for so few cars was that it was after 8:00 pm and it was really cold out. I'm at the cash with the screws and the woman at the counter says "Guess you're not a hockey fan are you" ...

She was right as I had no idea there was an important game on ...

It was the best game played on Maple Leaf ice in many a year . I wonder if any of the woeful Loafs, er leafs , were watching to see what real effort is all about . Great game , well coached , talented players .

Those young boys  play with enthusiasm of players  wanting to get into "the show"

Maybe the leafs should hire players w/o contracts   Just guys who want to play

On the Buffalo sports news tonight they showed highlights of the game. At the final whistle when the Canadian players were celebrating at their end of the rink , a Russian player skated back toward his bench and then just wound up and threw his stick in to the crowd injuring a spectater. Poor judgement and sportsmanship on his part and the IIHF is checking it for discipline. I Hope the fan was not seriously hurt.

I don't watch a lot of hockey lately but I was on the edge of my seat for the whole game. Wow! Congrats to those hard charging kids!
