Ya always a trade off for sure. A little more isolated living up here. Fewer resources for some. Have to travel to get pretty much anywhere.

But wouldn't trade it either. Lots of car people all over Ont. but plenty to meet up here.

We get a shorter winter down here. smile

Been a couple of decade since I've been to Sudbury. Furthest north I get each year is Kill Bear PP.

lol
I did time in the north ... being draged from every little town throughout the province as a kid on family camping trips for 6 summers in a row

been to sudbury , just a way stop along the way each time , first day on the road - lunch stop , dinner and set up camp at the KOA in the Soo

just a hair's throw from some figure 8 track

noted 2 or 3 years in a row on the second morning , getting gas to go north of the Soo , some wacky local wearing a parka ... on the first of august weekend
???? -oooK

that next night would be at agawa bay

been on the train up the agawa canyon

been to st clair cove - seen the pictographs

been to neys .. found a piece of cement paveing stone from the prision camp digging out the fire pit

been to silver islet .. well the little town , not the island lol

been to "the coldest place" - saw a nice 65 sattalite convertable , silver with black interior and top when we stoped for lunch at the big thermometer
really nice ride

been past the little sign board along the highway that notes all water flows north from that point

nice place in mid summer but I've seen it snow at agawa bay in the first week of august so I think I'll pass on doin' winter up there

Fort St. John, Bennett dam and points south.
One weekend in Prince George it was minus 41.
