I have most of my vehicles registered to both my wife and I, but will have to get the trailers done.I hope they do not latch onto my tractors, sorry they belong to my daughter and grand kids. Should this not be put on the rodders lounge form so all can see it?

Money grabbing bastards. It's a good thing I'm not doing this on my Viso TV.

I am a Canadian living in Onterrible and because of that I'm ashamed to say that I've become used to being taxed to death, BUT to be taxed passed death is just ridiculous!!!

that tax has been around for a few years - probate fees. i went through it last year with my mother's estate. i thought it was outrageous that i had to pay the probate fees in advance of being granted estate trustee status. it looks like some conditions and time constraints have changed but the tax remains the same just a different name.

I believe they had to start calling it a “tax” rather than a “fee” as the result of a legal case several years ago. They were charging more in “probate” fees than the service cost and the Canadian Supreme Court said that was a tax, not a fee. It’s called the Eurig decision. Same BS.

Wasn't aware of it but , from the money rip-off point of view it makes sense . With the millions of boomers getting on in years , it will be a bonanza for the government .
My wish , and it will never happen in my lifetime , would be for a forensic audit to take place to see where all the tax money really goes .........then again , maybe I wouldn't want to know , it might produce a heart attack ! The wastage they would unearth would probably lead to a revolution .

the only problem with that is that who is going to replace him. That's the big problem in Canada. All the politicians are painted with the same brush . We had the same problem years ago with Chretian. We all knew he was as crooked as a snake but there wasn't anyone available with new and good ideas to take over the country. We were stuck with him until he became so unbearable we figured anythings got to be better than him. So look where we are now. Different Prime Minister, same problem.

leaders are only figure heads
the issue is more with the stupid boat they're attached to - so to say

sinking the pc , lib and ndp boats would be the better way

that means another new party - one with the primary objective of doing away with the "party system" first and formost

then and only then will we have elected members that represent us - not some damed political party as it is now

and we would be able to elect the best of what we get without haveing to consider the party they belong to

you are right . The leaders are the figureheads but they are the leader of the party and if they say you have to vote with me then you have to vote with them. They don't give a dam what the people in your riding want. Its my way or the highway. We in the Niagara area saw it with Dirty Dalton and Kim Craitor. Kim voted for the people no matter what  and Dirty made him and the people of Niagara pay dearly for it. I cant understand why the people vote for their representative to represent their views in their riding but when elected they must vote along with the leader and to hell with the people.

It's been very tempting to "really" blast Wynne but controlling myself, & after today's announcement on BEER going up in price + the Big sell OFF  I need to go buy BEER while I can still afford it!!!  Highest Hydro bills & North America in Ontario & they say get ready for more increases, on top of the "planned" ones . I really like to get kissed when getting $%#^$ or at least a dinner!!!!

I am glad the Rainbow bridge is 7 minutes from my house and a case of beer in the states is around 18. bucks at the grocery store where 50 bucks can still buy a good amount of groceries and they aren't super downsized like in our stores. Don't like to support the U S economy but being on CPP and OAS , what are the options? Don't forget,, Whinnie the Shrew is set to bring down a budget and that's not going to help one little bit. I sure am glad us Onterrible taxpayers have unlimited funds to support all this c--p being forced on us.

And they wonder how Ontario because a "have not" province when it used to be a "have" province. All the business is leaving the province!

Highest hydro rates in north america.
Highest tax rates in north america.
Highest Insurance rates in north america.
Largest financial boondoggles by the governments in north america (gas plants anyone?)

And now they government wants to sell off assets that are generating large amounts of income for short term gain. What is wrong with them? Wynne is insane if she thinks the province can support this for long.

It,s hard to figure what to do anymore. It doesn't matter which party gets elected they all have their own agenda . They are all pretty much the same . They think the way to stay in power is to spend spend spend and try to keep the upper class happy and the hell with the rest of us. The funny thing is they cant figure out why the voters don't show up on election day. Maybe if they gave us something worthwhile to vote for things would change. But we all know that will never happen.

Totally agree, 51 , and probably the reason , unfortunately , for low voter turnout .

Even in our last municipal election, the voting was a "all time low" in my Twp. & you don't have to leave your house, can be 'mailed' in or dropped off at town hall!!!!

Voter turnout has been on a steady decline for about the last 30 years . So over that span just think back to the jerks that have been screwing us Federally and Provincially and you have the reason for low voter turnout.

Holy Crap ! I'm nowhere near that . ( 2 people 1250 sf on each of 2 floors ) .Two things I've done in the past year ....wash dishes by hand ( dishwasher can run for 45 minutes !! ) and keep the heat down to 64 in winter . If I get cold I put on a sweater ) ....these seem to work coupled with doing laundry only during cheapest times . Last bill was $93.07 but I get a clean energy benefit of 10% off of that number .

Hydro rates will NEVER go down. The McGuinty era has done irreparable damage to the Onterrible financial situation . The more you try to save on your Hydro rates the more it will cost. They have to get money somewhere to pay for them Nuclear plants and their employees so if you reduce your bill too much they will raise the rates to compensate. So when WHinnie comes up with another idea to reduce your hydro rates just ask , who is going to pay the big wages for Hydro employees and the ALWAYS overbudget refit of the Nuclear moneypits.

He forgot to mention the 'grow Op" lights & heaters in the basement?????  Supplemental "income" to pay for the outrageous hydro costs here???  I'm thinking "pimping" might be on my list, or get the hell out of this province before it goes "tits' up!!!!!

This government isn't all bad. They only want half your money while you're alive. They will wait till you die to get the other half.

I've got it all figured out for retirement .....I'm applying for a job in the senate , .....buying an old house trailer to park up in beautiful downtown Tuktoyaktuk , claiming it as my " primary residence " and then expensing EVERYTHING from the house in Belle River ! Easy Peasy . I'll change my name to Teejay Duff .

Now they are going to sell off 60% of Hydro One. I thought they down loaded three years ago when I got a hydro bill for $8,700. when I had to pay for the two hydro poles on the main line. Now it will get real interesting the down loading they have not told us about besides the price of hydro going up after the sale.

Sneaky Stephan threw us a bone to get himself re elected and Whinnie the Shrew took it all back so she could grease the taxpayers in Toronto. I don't know about the rest of you but I am getting pretty tired of carrying Toronto on my back.

51 your lucky your not part of the GTA, I'm right on the NE tip of it, 4 more mile & would have been "Better" Feel the same as you, subsidising the TORONTO city with part of my property taxes, because were in the GTA, no public transport out here, no provincial $$$ comes my way, always denied when Twp. applies for a grant for road or bridge fix!!! just looked a 3 houses outside the GTA today, taxes are less than 1/2 of my $4000 [1/3 acre in subdivision] more services, my house & car Ins. will drop !!! Lindsay had 2 homes I liked & they have BUS service, hospital & seems to be thriving little city. Bonus!!!!
