New Build T-Bucket

Hi Guys.

I am taking over a T-Bucket build from my father.

Tight budget so its going to be a bit ratty to get it on the road for now and upgrades as time goes on.

Most of the big stuff is done, rolling chassis is made, mid 60's 283 SBC with power glide, no drive shaft yet, ford 8" rear end (not ideal - I know, but the spring perches are already in place), fiberglass body - no bed.

Jeff welcome,,good luck with your build.

There is nothing wrong with a 8 inch in a light car like that.

Your pictures didn't turn out on this end

Absolutely nothing wrong with an 8" or with running coil springs with shocks inside. A real "coil over" shock is truly nothing more than a shock inside a coil spring. Difference is probably just ease of installation and ride height adjustability (along with damping/rebound depending on the coil overs) with a 'real' coil over. Looks like a fun project. Good luck with it.
