Yes I know there are people on this forum that think that Cobble Beach is not for them. That is fine for the rest of us that are trying to get our cars entered as they are increasing the odds in our favour to be excepted. I see on other threads about not going to events like Auto Fest for example where they charge a $35. entry fee as too expensive. Now Cobble Beach has no entry fee and you go on a 50 mile road trip Sat. stop for home made ice cream and Cobble Beach pays for it. Then when you get back you have buffet lunch on the patio overlooking Georgian Bay again no cost. In the after noon you can go to several seminars on the Mustang history, what is collectable or others put on by chief design architects and major collectors from around North America did I mention this was also free. For dinner another buffet of salads, potatoes, vegies, lake pickerel or a New York strip loin steak all you can eat with a chef that will barbeque to your desired taste. PLUS A FREE BAR!!! Did I mention they have a continental breakfast in the morning and barbeque for lunch that is free. Any way I went this year and had a fantastic time and all it cost was my room for the night.
PS: I also hear guys wining and crying that it is such a long drive to Cobble. I say to them that I guess you are in the wrong hobby seeing you do not enjoy driving your car. Try stamp collecting and you will never have to leave your house. Sorry for being blunt.

Very well stated Joe. Nice to meet you yesterday and put a face to a name. The Cobble Beach show IS for everyone. They just have to see it for themselves. Ticket prices are $30.00 if purchased on line before September 1st.
I was a entrant in their first show. I was treated so well, just as you were, I have gone back the last two years as a volunteer and will likely do it again next year.
ALL the cars that have appeared at the first three shows are ALL first time entrants. Repeat cars must have four years between appearances.
I took a bunch of pictures showing cars that I thought would appeal to most members here, but I think your pictures have done it.
I think most first time visitors whether as an entrant or spectator would see just how good this show really is. I hope you mark it down for next year.
Thanks for the pics Smokin Joe . Never be sorry for being blunt its a good trait. I am appreciative of the skill time and money that these cars have put into them. I always look at a vehicle and wonder how much time it required to make the patterns and molds etc to create the individual parts . This stuff was done with drawings......no computer aided design /CNC machinery .
Yes there are some owners that write the check (not my gig) but understand the classic design and engineering .
Nice to see the hot rods/ muscle cars getting there spot on the field.
I could not go this time, work and family commitments but next year its on the list.

Yes they are expanding there field and making some changes in the classes for next year I think will be for the better. Making it easier for the 30s cars to enter. He also talking about putting in some docks to expand the boat division. They had one inboard hydro there this year and it would be something if they attracted some of the big boats with the Alison and Rolls aircraft engines. I have been to the Clayton NY. race boat regatta a few times and one of those big boats would drown out the sound of any race car. They have the water to run them in front of the car show. I noticed they also had Vincent bikes this year I believe is for the first time. Cadillac had 12 cars there with 610 Hp. standard or auto you could take for a spin or one of the dozen Porches you could do the same.

Robert S. McLeese is the founder and chair, Joe Sulpizi of The Brand Factory and Billy Smilovsky of Engineered Automotive got things rolling, Cadillac I believe is the main sponsor and Chub Security I was told pays for the steak buffet dinner and open bar Sat. night. This show is on the same level as Pebble Beach as the detail is unbelievable. The judges are brought in from across North America and given lodging. Chief Judge is John Carlson from Vancouver and he also for Pebble Beach. I think as the show grows it will be harder to get in as one guy brought his car came all the way from Denver. They are only taking a few cars for each class so if you are thinking about going book a room now as I had a very hard time getting a room the first of June.
