it had a pink cover with some 70's style stock car art on it - was about the size of one of those blue hardy boys books

I'm prety sure it was fiction but I wouldn't swear to it

I cannot remember the title or author now as it's probably been 45 years since I borrowed it from the public libary

???

Go to a Library just before they close.

I heard those chicks are very 'helpful' after hours when they let their hair down and lose the glasses !

Lemme know how that works out and which Library I need to go to.

^ that might be it

cool I'll have to look it up - thanks !!

and , I read "Hot Rod" when I was in grade nine I think - if it's the story about the kid and his girlfriend who do the pink and black custom only to die when he gets stupid at the end and races some other guy

man I used to read a lot as a kid - Idono what happened but once upon a time I could knock off three of those hardy boys books in one day - or the distance from huntsville to wawa

I remember that book Hot Rod, it was probably the only time I read a book from start to finish that I couldn't put down, lol.  I was probably in grade 7 or 8 back then.

I had that book as a kid, might still have it packed away somewhere. Wow, that was a long time ago!
