Not car related but I had a bunch of bronze plaques from old elevators. OTIS, Dover, etc.
I gave them to a young lad that has started a collection.

I have an old car friend that works that works for Otis in Toronto that collects elevator governors.

The old OTIS flyball governor is a work of art.

Heavy old things with brass balls.

I've got a '38 mecurey 3hp boat motor my father bought way back in the early 50's to haul the materials to the lot where he built our cottage , long before the road was put in

I guess it's not a collection now though after I gave away the 50's 10hp johnson I had

My other interest is off in a different direction .....I build models , many of them from scratch , for a model railroad .

I also was involved with 4 other guys in building a replica of Ebbets Field where the old Brooklyn Dodgers played .....for a paying customer in California . This was made mostly from wood , the only plastic being the thousands of seats ( which worked ) and took us 7 months . It was trucked out west in 3 pieces as it was designed to come apart for shipping .

Don't really collect things but like to do some woodworking. Mostly models in the last few years but have built some furniture as well.
