Hey guys, being as I'm fairly new here, I don't know if this has been asked before, but what was your favorite car you've owned? Just curious!

As most of you probably had a collection of cars over the years, I did too...mostly GTO's....but I think the most fun car I had was a 63 Ford falcon futura.had a 289 with a factory 4 speed..it was freaky fast for what it had! The car I miss the most is a 68 GTX...had to sell due to a nasty divorce!  Miss that one!  (No..NOT the ex wife!)😣

I had 2 favorites. 1st was a 55 Chev 2 dr with a 283 ,fuelie pistons,Duntov solid lifter cam and corvette dual quads. ran C/MP low 14s back in 62-63 at Niagara,Cayuga and St Thomas .
2nd was 66 Pontiac parisienne 2dr HT with 396 4spd posi with bench seats,no power accessories. Both were great cars ,dependable, great gas mileage although for fun I got to go with the 55.

Hmm, good question, and a tough call. I've always loved the muscle cars, but I always wanted a 1937 Chev. Dunno why. There was a Crazy old farmer out our way back when I was a young whipper snapper. He had many farms (abandoned) that had a ****load of old cars in rows. This old dude used to tour farm to farm daily making sure nobody was stealing stuff.

He'd fill yer butt with Buckshot if he caught ya on his turf. I wanted that '37 sooo bad, but never got the chance to hit the Auction when he died. I'm sure everybody here has heard of Otto. Anyway... that would have been my dream car and was do-able, but never happened.

The '66 Chevelle (my first car) was that replacement, but only because my Drag Racing Uncles had them when I was a youngin. I bought this Javelin after that, when I was 14 or 15.
Still have it, but I can't honestly say it's my favorite., nor the '73 Stingray Roadster that's still here either for that matter. I think it's more of the ****-ton of money I dumped into them over the years, especially the Javelin, cause it's 'different', and my '69 Mach 1, Z28 and one GTO, well, everybody had one back then.

Hope yer sitting down now.

My all time favs, would be the 1971 Caprice Classic. Huge 4 door Aircraft Carrier. No option it didn't have, louvered deck lid etc etc, and it was from the USA. This rolling building had a 454 and could leave rubber into second and a squack into 3'rd. I still have the BB from it.

Next in line, is the total reverse. A new 1976 Acadian 4 banger/ 4speed, my Dad bought me for College. No options at all, not even a glove box door or radio. I beat that car to death and wish I still had it for a 454 transplant and such.

Had a couple trucks over the years. A 1970 GMC 4x4 and a 1981 4x4, both 3/4 ton.

but I think my favorite was my 55 Chevy, bought it as a basket case, rebuilt it a few times and owned it for almost 20 years.

I think a favourite car/truck can vary according to the situation . My first car , a 55 Chevy 150 2-door post , stick 6 meant I didn't have to borrow the family car anymore . Freedom !! But I didn't have the money to do what I had wanted to do so the car never got a neat drivetrain .
I guess my favourite would be my first new car , 68 Mustang GT fastback , 302 4-speed ....car was pretty quick as it was very light and hooked up well . I decided about 3 years later to sell the car and go to university as an adult student ........wish I had kept that Mustang .

71 Chevelle with a lowly 307 but it could do donuts on dry asphalt full of me and my drunken pals.
