So I was talking with some gear heads about "gov. regs" and what we would do if in charge. I hear and read lots of bitching and whining but see no suggestions, so I would be interested in knowing what would you do if there was a clean slate. Make hot rods safe and ban all ratrods doesn't count. Details please and remember as far as I can determine , on line , less than 12% of vehicle collisions are caused by actual mechanical failures.
My list would include for hobby cars- no drunk driving, .08 seams to work so lets go with that
no cell phones within reach of the driver while the car is in motion
